El Paso, Tx - The Greater El Paso Association of REALTORS(r) (GEPAR) held its annual installation ceremony for the new incoming Association President, Linda Bastraw, and incoming officers for 2011. The event was held on Friday, November 19, 2010. This year's premise was "United We Stand."
Presentations to the Salesman of the Year, REALTOR® of the Year, and Affiliate of the Year were also made during the ceremony. In her position as the President of the Greater El Paso Association of REALTORS®, Linda Bastraw will be the presiding officer over Association matters, along with the new and returning Board of Directors. This group of memberelected professionals oversees the overall operation of the organization.
Recognition was given to Sonja Van Nortwick Salesman of the Year, Alma Miller REALTOR® of the Year, and GECU Affiliate of the Year during the ceremony. The term REALTOR®is a registered collective membership mark that identifies a real estate professional who is a member of the National Association of REALTORS® and subscribes to its strict Code of Ethics.

She will serve a 1-year term as President and will be responsible for organizing and fulfilling WCR’s Business Plan on the Local, State, and National level, all with the help of her new line officers Martha Maldonado with Old Republic Home Warranty as President Elect, Samuel Trimble with Century 21 The Edge as VP of
Membership, Jan Boone with Century 21 The Edge as Treasurer, and Denise Joseph with ExIT Progressive Realty as Secretary. The chapter is currently working on their 2nd Annual “Bra’s for the Cause” event where they have teamed up with the Rio Grande Cancer foundation.
