Local WCR member to serve on state board Samantha Valle, Women's Council or REALTORS El Paso Del Norte Chapter President, has become the Texas District Vice President for the Women's Council of REALTORS Texas State Chapter. The 2011 Slate of Officers for Texas chapter of Women's Council of REALTORS were presented by the nominating committee led by Chair Sandra Hunt back in June of this year. "When I started my journey on the leadership trail with the Women's Council of REALTORS, WCR, I never imagined that I
would be nominated for a state position much less win the position. I honestly hadn't thought much about taking a position at the state level," said Samantha. After Samantha received a call from Becky HIll, the immediate national past president, Becky mentioned she wanted to give Samantha's name to the 2011 State Nominating Committee. "I was surprised and flattered by the phone call. After a lot of encouraging words from Becky, I agreed," said Samantha. As Texas District Vice President Samantha will be a part of the state governing board. Samantha will be required to attend state meetings & be responsible for organizing her area's district meetings. Her areas include
Brownsville, McAllen, Fort Bent, Bay Area and Houston. Throughout the year she will also be in communication with the area chapters to help them recruit and retain members.
