TORONTO YOUTH FEST LO G O / P R I N T E D W O R K
The G12 Canada church network needed a logo for their youth festival happening in September 2016. Toronto Youth Fest is focused on reaching outvto young people around the GTA and excite them to have passion for God. I chose red as a symbol for passion and a call to action. Instead of using a serif type, I handdrew custom brush-like type to show the youthful energy of the youth organizing Toronto Youth Fest. They wanted something simple, effective and would make a strong impact. As well, I designed the poster that would be printed for the day of event and used in social media.

90 DAY CHALLENGE C A M PA I G N P R I N T
For their “90 day challenge campaign, Word For the World International Ministries wanted a design that excited their entire congregation to participate in the challenge. There were three levels of difficulty as well as three colours associated with each level. On top of creating a printed poster design, I also created the different workbook booklet covers for the participants. Aside from design, I also helped in social media awareness.

Armal needed design work for a 4th of July advertisment that would be put into a tradeshow booklet. They provided me with all the separate components: the portable toilet, the hands, the flag, the crowd, the logo and the text work. I was tasked with putting it together according to the guidance and specifications given the client. This was a rush job with a turnover of less than a day so I was able to deliver within the timeframe.

The Ultimate Guide to Fulfilling your God-given Destiny Your story is part of the Gospel story. So it shouldn’t surprise you that God talks quite a bit about how to find and fulfill your God-given destiny to continue His narrative. The Bible says in Ephesians 2:10, “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago” (NLT). That means that before you were born, God gave you a unique mixture of spiritual gifts, passions, abilities, personality, and experiences. It’s why your destiny is so unique. It’s your destiny. Not your mother’s, not your father’s, not your pastor’s. It’s your destiny. Destiny began for David, who was in his early teens at the time, when Prophet Samuel came knocking on his father Jesse’s door. Samuel was on a mission by God to anoint one of Jesse’s sons to be king. At the time, Saul from the tribe of Benjamin was reigning king but Saul disobeyed God one too many times. God had His eye on a shepherd boy who had a heart after His own heart (I Samuel 13:14). After Samuel anointed David, “the Spirit of the Lord came upon David.” After that, he became king of Judah right away, right? Actually, no. It took almost fifteen years for David to become king of the tribe of Judah. And another seven and a half years for him to be crowned King over a united Israel. The life of David is a good place to get some advice on fulfilling your God-given destiny.
Take a Look at The Ultimate Guide to Fulfilling your God-given Destiny 1) Be faithful with what God has given you right now Where do you expect David to be two years after being anointed as King? Well obviously as King of Israel! But no. In, 1 Samuel 16:14-23, we find him still tending sheep. Still doing the same job as before. The king’s servant is calling him to serve as a musician to the king and later to be his armour bearer. He was serving, playing lullabies and waiting to put on the armour of a man he knew was unfit for the job that God promised him. He could have have become indignant, angry or proud but he was faithful with the small things, with his sheep, with the lyre and with the armour. Like David, we need to remain faithful with the things God puts between you and your destiny. 2) Develop and use your natural talents and spiritual gifts Before David was a warrior, a strategic general and a giant-killer, David was a musician. Someone might ask, “What does playing a harp have anything to do with being a king of a nation?” Some might say nothing but David developed his natural talents in playing the harp. And because of that he gained the trust and confidence of King Saul. He also saw what it was like for a king to be tormented by evil spirits and how to make a king ready for battle. Ask God to help you identify the talents He has given you to use in the world and the gifts He has given you to use in the church. Once you know what these are, aim to use them as fully as you can every day, and as you serve you will be fulfilling your destiny in the process. 3) Cooperate with God as He trains you to depend on Him Many Bible historian believe David wrote Psalm 23 in the middle of puberty, right about the same time he was anointed the next king of Israel. Calling God a shepherd back then was not something you would say about God to flatter him. Being a shepherd is not something the rich and the famous do. But for David, who was a shepherd, he knew what it took to be a shepherd. It takes care and even love to be successful at the job. That’s how he saw God. He saw Him as someone he can depend on; who will lead him to green pastures and quiet waters. Keep in mind that you can do much more while depending on God than you can ever do on your own. Recognize that your destiny will always be bigger than you, so you must learn how to rely on God to help you fulfill it.
4) Move forward one step at a time In 1 Samuel 23, we get an inside look at David’s unique decision-making relationship with God. At least four times in this chapter, David sought God’s insight for the decisions he was making to keep himself and more than 600 men alive in his army. He came to God with a plan and he got direction from God. Once he got direction from God, he took immediate action. Don’t wait to act on the guidance that God gives you about how to fulfill your destiny. God’s guidance will often come gradually. Rather than letting your partial understanding limit you, respond to God on the basis of what you do know, trusting that God will continue to guide you step by step to encourage you to stay closely connected to Him. 5) Do not rush the process Finally, David’s day had come to be king! King Saul was out with his troops hunting to kill David when Saul took a break in a cave - the same cave where David and his men were hiding out. David snuck up, pulled out his weapon and … took a fabric from Saul’s clothes. Not only did David not kill Saul, he apologized to his men for laying his hands on God’s anointed. In the end, it was David’s choice not to kill Saul that began removing Saul’s blockage of David’s kingship. In the same way, do not rush the process God is putting you through in the journey to your destiny. The pivotal, character-building challenges you are facing in this season are preparing you for tomorrow’s battles. So how do you fulfill your God-given destiny? Here’s the one liner: fulfilling your God-given destiny is about being the person God wants you to be right now. By seeking a closer relationship with your Creator, you can discover and fulfill what He has created you to do. Look at the life of David. He wasn’t so concerned about becoming the next King of Israel. He was too busy pursuing the heart of God. God handled the rest. Why? Because if you’ll be the person God has called you to be, God will do everything He has promised to do in your life.

WAVE FEST LO G O
World for the World International Ministries wanted a logo for their upcoming youth events. I was tasked with developing and creating a logo that would represent who they are and the events they are holding. Their events are similar to Toronto Youth Fest in that their focus is evangelical outreach to youth. They didn’t have any set guidelines as to what they wanted their logo to look like so I provided them with sketches. From there, they were able to choose one which I then developed into their final logo.
