Considering the increasing interest in electric airplanes, sustainability has also become an important aspect in general aviation and makes the e-flight-expo at AERO Friedrichshafen grow year by year. Many renowned aircraft manufacturers such as Siemens are already dealing with almost noise- and emission-free
E-Flight-Expo flight. They develop innovative products, which are expected to be ready for the market in the foreseeable future. The technological progress achieved in this sector will be demonstrated in the second e-flight-expo airshow at AERO Friedrichshafen in 2018.

THE FASCINATION OF HELICOPTER FLIGHT Helicopters are impressive aircraft with a large variety of mission profiles covering the entire range from air rescue and aerial work to fun flying in an ultralight helicopter. DRONES OF THE FUTURE The Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) segment at AERO Friedrichshafen continues to grow. This is largely due to the fact that the annual UAV DACH User Conference is being held as part of the trade show. The AERODrones exhibition area demonstrates the current state of technical development and legal framework related to civil UAS. At AERO Friedrichshafen 2018, the 2nd User Symposium and accompanying UAS demonstrations will take place on the exhibitions grounds and at other locations.

All those planning to fly to Friedrichshafen Airport in their own plane to attend the AERO trade show will require a slot. From mid-March 2018 you can book your fly-in slot online at https://aero-expo.com (Travel & Accommodation / By Plane). During the trade show, visitors arriving by ultralight aircraft may use nearby airfields such as Markdorf, Leutkirch, Mengen or Constance without needing a slot or prior permission.
