AERO 2019: SET COURSE FOR THE NEW DECADE Welcome to the 27th edition of AERO Friedrichshafen, Europe’s leading trade show for general aviation on the shores of Lake Constance. Once again, the “trade show of innovations” will uphold its reputation as the important international meeting place for the industry in 2019: More than 700 international exhibitors will present current and future trends in general aviation. About 320 aircraft covering the entire spectrum from electric airplanes to helicopters and business jets will be on display. The full range of flight topics is rounded off by avionics equip ment and propulsion systems as well as pilot supplies and flight training course offerings.

Innovative – informative – international. More than 200 workshops, symposia and conferences offer you the opportunity to find out about the very latest developments in the industry. This is where pioneering decisions are taken! Industry associations and authorities like the FAI, EASA, GAMA, AOPA and GBAA will provide a wide and extensive spectrum of extremely interesting information, which will focus on the very latest political and legal issues in aviation generally.
LINDBERGH INNOVATION FORUM
For the first time the Lindbergh Innovation Forum will be held during AERO Conferences. Charles Lindbergh is a name, which stands in aviation for drive and the will to achieve. The Lindbergh Innovation Forum offers visitors inspiring, provocative lectures on subjects ranging from pioneering aviators to leading-edge technological concepts and major breakthroughs, which will have a major impact on shaping the future of flying. In the Garmin Seminar Area, experts will make complex technical issues easy to understand. The Headset Test Area invites visitors to try out the latest generation of headsets.
AERODRONES / UAS EXPO – supported by UAV DACH
Meeting of the drones: On the outdoor airfield in the Open-Air Grounds East drones make their circuits and the most up-todate information on laws and permits for unmanned aircraft is also available. In cooperation with the UAV DACH Unmanned Aircraft Association AERODrones will be located for the first time in Hall A7.

Alternative propulsion technologies: Away from fossil fuels towards sustainable propulsion technologies - that’s not only the motto of the special exhibition, but also that of the AERO Conferences. Experts will address and discuss the latest trends such as eVTOL (Electrical Vertical Takeoff and Landing).
Flight Simulator Area – supported by PPV Medien & Aerosoft
Young people can get a first impression of what it means to be a pilot. Experienced aviators visiting this new special area can find out more about the advanced training options available and are given the opportunity to fly other aircraft types. Throughout the trade fair interesting lectures on the topic will be offered in the special lecture hall.

Pilots who wish to fly in to AERO can use an online slot allocation system for Friedrichshafen Airport. Details are available in the “Travel“ section on our website www.aero-expo.com, EDNY: N 47 40.3 E 009 30.7. Alternatively there will be the possibility of flying slot-free to nearby airfields such as Markdorf (UL), Leutkirch, Konstanz and Mengen.
