Sustainable Aviation is a major topic to the entire aerospace sector. The General Aviation industry with its innovations in electric flight and hybrid propulsion is at the forefront of this shift towards zero-emission aviation. At AERO Friedrichshafen we therefore put sustainable aviation into the focus of the event with our proven e-flight-expo and our new AERO Sustainable Aviation Trail. BRINGING YOUNG TALENTS INTO AVIATION

AERO Friedrichshafen is the perfect platform to attract the next generation for aviation.

Finding new people for the aviation industry will be a key topic for the 2023 edition, as the lack of talents within the cockpit, in engineering or administration is a major challenge our industry has to face. With our AERO Career initiative, we want to attract young people for aviation and support companies to find future employees and trainees. Within the Be a Pilot Area, flight schools and universities can introduce themselves to attract new students.

The ultralight segment with its broad spectrum of aircraft manufacturers and wide range of suppliers form the fundament of our trade show. The innovations in lightweight construction, electric propulsion and other areas in sustainability contribute greatly to boost general aviation’s image as a future-oriented industry. We look forward to welcoming this part of the industry back at our show to further shape and influence the whole General Aviation and thus also AERO Friedrichshafen.

AERODRONES DRONES FOR EMERGENCY & RESCUE SERVICE MISSIONS

From the 19th to the 21st the dedicated 3-day drone event, AERODrones, will shine a light on drone missions for police, fire services and emergency rescue. The event will bring together manufacturers, partners and suppliers from the industry with representatives from the different agencies to showcase the latest innovations and exchange information about missions and scenarios. The 3-day event will combine an exhibition area with a conference stage and separate conference areas for police agencies.

FLIGHT SIMULATOR AREA TRAINING SOLUTIONS FOR PROFESSIONALS –ENTRY POINT FOR NEWCOMERS

Enhancing safety through training with flight simulators is a crucial topic! The Flight Simulator Area at AERO Friedrichshafen addresses two sides of the simulator business. It brings together manufacturers and suppliers of approved simulators with professional pilots. At the same time, the area also offers newcomers, without a pilot license, the chance to approach providers of non-certified flight simulator games and test their software as a first step into aviation.

The bee of aviation

Once again, the Helicopter Hangar at AERO Friedrichshafen brings together a vast range of helicopters used for various missions and different purposes. In cooperation with the German Helicopter Association (DHV), we bring together operators, manufacturers, dealers, suppliers, and private pilots, as well as young talent and future pilots to showcase just how diverse the rotorcraft industry is and how attractive it can be to future employees and pilots. The dedicated Heli Forum will also host a 4-day conference programme organised by the DHV to discuss the latest trends and challenges in the industry.

GLIDErS Silent, sustainable and innovative

In 2023, AERO Friedrichshafen will again host the glider community at Lake Constance. Glider manufacturers and suppliers will present their innovations. Just as the show began more than 40 years ago with glider exhibitors, we look forward to welcoming this highly innovative part of the General Aviation industry back at AERO Friedrichshafen.
