My impression of this was very positive. The halls seemed fuller and more lively. This liveliness carried over to the visitors, and you could feel their enthusiasm. At our stand, we also received a lot of interest in our sales and service offers. Our boats at the INTERBOOT Harbour were often booked for test runs. We’re happy with this year’s INTERBOOT all around.”

Promising Location At the INTERBOOT at the Lake of Constance we present your products and services amidst one of the most popular watersports areas of Europe. The fact that you are in the centre of markets with a high purchasing power, makes the location even more attractive. Its direct catchment area includes the countries Liechtenstein, Switzerland, Austria, as well as Southern Germany. About 14.3 million people with an above-average available income, compared to the rest of Europe, live here. The INTERBOOT compels through visitors who are interested in watersports and also have the financial possibilities to invest in their passion.

The majority of international visitors comes from Switzerland which has the highest concentration of boats in relation to the number of inhabitants, by the way, with 100,000 licensed sports boats. The fact that so many watersports enthusiasts from neighbour countries visit the INTERBOOT, is not least due to the close cooperation of the INTERBOOT with the Swiss Boat Builders Association (SBV).

For us, it’s an important indicator for the upcoming season, as customers can already give feedback on new products, right here in Friedrichshafen. Compared to other trade fairs, INTERBOOT is highly focused on acquiring business. We take home a lot of orders, which is certainly a pleasure! By Friday, we had already reached the same volume of orders as last year. However, INTERBOOT will have to meet the challenges of maintaining its position as an international trade fair into the future. We need to attract more visitors from neighbouring countries, in order to secure the future of INTERBOOT.” David Clavadetscher, General Manager of the Swiss Boat Builders’ Association, Zofingen/Switzerland: “Compared to last year, we noticed a considerable increase in the number of Swiss visitors at our joint stand. All in all, we’re very satisfied with the exhibition, and we also liked the new hall concept very much. For us in Switzerland, INTERBOOT is the main exhibition event. Many new participants exhibited for the first time at our joint stand; they were very satisfied, and will join in again next year.”

Our contacts with the exhibition management have been very friendly. This underlines our many years of positive collaboration. For us, it’s been very important to exhibit at INTERBOOT: when many of our Mediterranean neighbours are still in the tail end of the current season, we’re already here to present next year’s catalogue. Since the houseboat concept is not so well known here in southern Germany, the visitors were very interested in us. We sold several boats, and there are already plans to establish charter companies here on Lake Constance, specializing in houseboats. Next year, we’ll probably expand our presence in the halls, and will also be present at the INTERBOOT Harbour.”
