Our most important standard? Sustainability.

Code of Conduct and GoGreen

Sustainability isn’t a trend for us—it’s a guideline. In accordance with the Code of Conduct, we want to be carbon neutral by 2030 at the latest, which is why we are pursuing a greener infrastructure, among other things.

Our trade fair venue already operates one of the largest rooftop photovoltaic installations in the world, its heat supply is provided by geothermal energy, and its energy supply is powered by 100% green electricity. In addition, there are more than 100 e-charging stations and optimized public transport connections, along with greened hall roofs covering 35,000 m2 and green spaces over 220,000 m2 with 2,500 trees to offset emissions.

What can you do to personally make a difference? One way is through your GoGreen ticket with carbon offsetting. Five euros from each ticket are invested in three high-quality myclimate protection projects that make a positive contribution to sustainable development and help reduce greenhouse gases. Let’s GoGreen: electronica.de/gogreen

The Big Step Challenge— powered by RS.

Do you want to make a difference? So do we.

Did you know, there are over 27.1 million refugees around the world? Our goal is to collectively walk 27.1 million steps (approx. 19,500 km) to represent every man, woman and child who has been forced to flee their homes and find safety in a foreign land. You could also win great prizes whilst you step.

We will do this by using the official electronica app, we will anonymously count the total number of steps taken by everyone attending the exhibition. Every step you take counts!

Who will you be supporting?

We’ve partnered with an amazing charity called The Washing Machine Project, who are dedicated to finding innovative engineering solutions for refugees around the world. Their invention, the Divya, is an off-grid washing machine which aims to alleviate the backbreaking burden of handwashing clothes; a task which disproportionately affects the livelihood and wellbeing of women and children, and takes up to 20 hours a week. The Divya washing machine saves 50% of the water and 75% of the time when compared to handwashing clothes.

If you would like to help to be part of the solution and give people the dignity of clean clothes, find more information in the app.
