VERTICAL SPLIT LENGTHS: 151, 158, 162 SHAPE: Vertical S-Split Line BOARD PROFILE: Float Camber Whirl, twirl or pirouette, why is this board your go-to on the dance floor? Introducing the split version of our all-new, Vertical shape. While park laps used to be your thing, you’re now infatuated with ‘the turn’ and the journey to get there. The Vertical Split is loaded with carbon fibre Landing Strips and Kevlar additives for power and stability whether the board is split or solid. Once atop the mountain a mild swallowtail, larger nose, setback stance and a deep breath… the future is now! Whether it’s rail bopping or booter popping, what boogie style is this board designed for? Its ice-slicing Traction Bump and S-Line edges are dual purpose; providing supreme grip when arcing turns and added bite on technical skin tracks. The Float camber profile puts the rider in the backseat for increased speed, float and landings in pow, while still maintaining balance when skinning. The finely tuned Forever Core is made of paulownia, spruce, beech and poplar and is lively, light and powerful too. With trusted Union hardware and a standard split mounting pattern it’s ready for even the furthest line-mining missions. Your back is against the wall and you’re close to heading home, but then something catches your eye across the dance floor. What is it about this board’s appearance that makes it stand out from the crowd? We wanted to create a topsheet that would look great on a snowboard, but could just as easily be hung on a wall as a piece of art. We also wanted to produce a board that helps retailers sell it; nothing too crazy or ‘out there’. I’m stoked to offer shorter sizes for women and the next generation to get on this number too. I’m also introducing something fairly novel in the S-Line Split edges and ice slicing Traction Bump, which works twofold in supplying supreme hold when engaging turns, but also adds bite when skinning up. You’ve danced the night away, what have you learnt from your new partner? If the Happy Place (opposite page) is the breakdancing younger sibling of the 20/21 Slash dance act, the Vertical Split is most definitely the discerning, swing dancing father of the fam with a penchant for speed, turns, pow and style. Instead of waking up sore from a hangover nowadays, it’s usually from the lack of predance stretching. Last words on the Vertical Split: “The Vertical Split is not just a sparring partner. It’s lightweight composition with best materials including IS7200 Base, aluminium protectors, built-in Union Hardware locking this in as a solid tech board that rides freaking nice any day!.” - Gigi Rüf

THE HAPPY PLACE LENGTHS: 146, 149, 152, 154, 155W, 156, 158, 159W SHAPE: Slash True-Twin Kickstand BOARD PROFILE: CamRock Whirl, twirl or pirouette, why is this board your go-to on the dance floor? The Happy Place is made from poplar wood and has beech hardwood stringers along the inserts for binding power transfer. It’s set for spinning upside down and its true twin shape allows you to take on double kinked rails switch and regular, with no fear of change-ups. Its Sweet Spot carbon fibre stringers are laid from the bindings to the contact points to enhance edge control and amplify ollies while the traction bump in the middle of the sidecut reduces chatter. Whether it’s rail bopping or booter popping, what boogie style is this board designed for? The Happy Place thrives in the park thanks to its CamRock profile, which decreases edge catch and simplifies flexed presses and butters. We’ve loaded the board with best-in-class features including a sintered base and Sweet Spot carbon fibre reinforcements to ensure that all who ride it will feel at home across the mountain. Your back is against the wall and you’re close to heading home, but then something catches your eye across the dance floor. What is it about this board’s appearance that makes it stand out from the crowd? I commissioned renowned music video artist Ruff Mercy (known for his work with Paul Weller, Thom Yorke, DJ Shadow + more) for the 20/21 Happy Place graphic. The two demons are divided in shorter and longer lengths in this sled made for girls and boys. A progressive sidecut and true twin shape means you’ll take on features consistently no matter which direction you’re approaching from. You’ve danced the night away, what have you learnt from your new partner? CamRock takes the lead with the stability you’d expect from camber between your feet and raised rocker in the tips allows a seamless glide from one jive to another; butters to flexed presses and pirouette gracefully with less edge catch. Last words on The Happy Place “This board is my GO-TO board for every day. It handles everything; big street rail gaps, park hits and pow. Its flex pattern allows it to press easy, still pop and take big impacts. The carbon stringers are placed so the board has no compromise on pop and yet zero catchups with the slightly rocked out tips. This board stands out to me for its ridiculous strength and durability.” - Jacco Bos

Because it’s the board you need to build your confidence on the floor. It’s got all the talent of an acrobatic rock n roll dancer but adapts to the level of its partner. The narrow waist of the Midbite and the larger tip and tail make it really stable in the twirl moves and for all the throws and catches. Whether it’s rail bopping or booter popping, what boogie style is this board designed for? This board is really for breakdancing hip hopping, it has the pop and the stable platform to get you off the ground and spinning. It’s there to take your hand onto all types of dance floors and give you the security that you will land your moves. It’s your dance teacher. Your back is against the wall and you’re close to heading home, but then something catches your eye across the dance floor. What is it about this board’s appearance that makes it stand out from the crowd? The blunt nose and tail and eye of the tiger are inviting you to try this new move. This board catches your attention on the way out by whispering in your ear that it’s not over until the lights come on and there’s still a lot that you can do to bring down the house. You’ve danced the night away, what have you learnt from your new partner? It delivers. Whatever the move you try it will be there stable as a waltz making sure you come around and land on the right foot. It will also build your confidence and allow you to try new moves and respond to them with pop and forgiveness if you step on its feet.
