I recently read an old article in the New York Times entitled, “Winning Leaps Over Art”, authored by Gia Kourlas. It was written last year, during the last Winter Olympics in 2010. It is about figure skating.
You might wonder why I would be reading about figure skating in the first place, and you have every right to, I’ll freely admit I’ll read most anything placed in front of me, it’s an odd habit of mine. Anyway, I digress. It turns out that in her article Ms. Kourlas, reviewing the then-recent figure skating eventsin Vancouver, brings up the issue of something all snowboarders hold dear to our hearts: Style.
