NOW IN OUR 12TH YEAR The National Advertising Awards is North America’s only original creative advertising and media communications awards competition. Unlike other shows, we’re not about showcasing previously produced advertising campaigns. We are a competition where everyone starts from the same blank page. When clients write the brief, creativity isn’t just creativity for creativity’s sake. It becomes much more. It opens a constructive dialogue between agencies and their clients. How It Works Brand sponsors decide which category to sponsor: Digital, Print: Magazines, Print: Newspaper, Mobile, Direct, Radio, Out Of Home: Event, Out of Home: Brand, Video/Film, Media Planning, Experiential, Social Engagement, Campaign (two media). As well, there are categories for Young Creatives and Students. For media sponsors, the process is similar - they are connected with a marquee brand, or can nominate one for their medium. Once a category has been selected, we collaborate to produce a Creative or Media Brief and then promote it to the advertising creative and media communications community. Entries in the form of market-ready ideas are submitted by top creative teams and then judged by a jury of creative and media professionals; winners are announced at the Gala. All submissions are the property of the Brand and are ready for execution through a preferred medium.
