Health care deadline creates enrollment rush Obamacare. There’s been a flurry of activity days before the last chance to receive coverage in 2014. On a recent afternoon, the tiny front room at the Brooklyn Perinatal Network in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn, was packed with New Yorkers eager to enroll for health insurance. “It’s been very, very busy,” said Denise West, the network’s deputy executive director — one of dozens of organizations in the five boroughs with navigators trained to help New Yorkers and businesses use the state’s health exchange, mandated by the Affordable Care Act. Since the launch of NY State of Health in October, more than 1.1 million people across the state have completed applications on the marketplace, and more than 782,000 have enrolled. But as the deadline for 2014 coverage approaches, New Yorkers scramble to sign up before midnight Monday. More than 281,000 people in the state enrolled in just over the last four weeks alone. West said a steady stream of people — with and without appointments — have come to the organization for assistance enrolling in the past few weeks. “Because it’s so late,

people are afraid to try on their own,” she said. West said calls to the organization have also increased. On a recent Friday, West helped one man enroll over the phone until about 11 p.m. “Time just moves by
so fast,” she said, explaining why some put off the application. West also attributed a recent surge in enrollment to confusion following media reports on technical difficulties with the federal exchange website. Michael Wallace, a 37-year-old walk-in client at the network, blamed his own procrastination on laziness. “I need insurance,” Wallace said. “I should have done it sooner.” Despite having worked longer hours in the last days of open enrollment, West said it was an “exciting time.” One of the goals of the Brooklyn Perinatal Network is to improve community well being by connecting New Yorkers
with health services, she said. West stressed the importance of health insurance in bettering New Yorkers’ lives. In New York City, one in five adults are uninsured, according to the Health Department. Until West helped him enroll a few weeks ago, Emroy Caesar, 31, was one of those uninsured. A Berkeley College student doing work-study at the site, Caesar said he finally enrolled because he knew his 12-year-old daughter would need shots soon. “It was very last-minute,” he admitted. “Down to the wire.” ANNA SANDERS @AnnaESanders

The de Blasio administration is ready to pour millions of federal dollars into a renewed effort post-Superstorm Sandy. Speaking in Queens on Saturday, Mayor Bill de Blasio announced a new plan to help many residents who he said have gone through “the worst 17 months of their lives.”
Part of the restructuring includes a reformed Build It Back program to streamline rebuilding applications and reimbursements requests. The city will also receive an additional $100 million from the Department of Housing and Urban Development for home rebuilding. Meanwhile, de Blasio
appointed new leaders to his resiliency and recovery team, including Bill Goldstein as the new senior advisor for recovery resiliency and infrastructure. Amy Peterson will be the new director of the Housing Recovery Office, and Daniel Zarrilli will head up the new Office of Recovery and Resiliency. EMILY JOHNSON

Staten Island clown creators reveal his origin Jokers. The group behind the viral clown sightings say it started as a prank on a friend. The clown who briefly terrorized Staten Island streets swung by Manhattan on Friday morning. The joker was revealed as a stunt by a Staten Island-based production company, but the men behind the prank said it was all in good fun. “Really, no matter how it is, we like to entertain people,” said Michael Leavy of Fuzz on the Lens Productions. “It wasn’t meant to hurt anybody or harm anybody. It was really just having fun.” Leavy, along with his brother Michael and friend Steven Della Salla brought along the infamous clown to radio station Z100 s morning show for their latest hurrah — scaring one of the hosts on her birthday. “You either love clowns or you hate them,” Asleep on the job
WTC security chief resigns The security director of One World Trade Center resigned on Friday after a series of breaches at the construction site. Former FBI officer David Velazquez left his post amid media coverage of the arrests of four BASE jumpers who leaped from the skyscraper’s 104th floor and a New Jersey teenager who evaded security to reach the top and snap pictures. Soon after the first arrest, the New York Post discovered a security guard with eyesight trouble sleeping while on duty alone in the lobby. EMILY JOHNSON

The clown went on to make appearances on Twitter and Instagram accounts, where it eventually went viral as the

Mudslide. Small-town Washington state mayor finds new role Days after the mudslide left dozens dead and missing, Dan Rankin stood in a high school gymnasium and hugged tight a teenage girl reeling from the loss of her sister. Before the March 22 disaster, Rankin’s main tasks as mayor of the small logging town of Darrington, Wash., included overseeing town council meetings and resolving property line
disputes in the community of about 1,350 people. But since the mudslide about 10 miles west of town, Rankin’s job has been transformed into that of comforting the grieving and articulating their anguish to the outside world. “That scar on the mountain will never heal, nor will the scar in our hearts ever heal,â€? Top US general returning to Europe over Ukraine crisis Tensions. The West threatened tougher economic sanctions against Russia if Moscow invades eastern Ukraine. America’s top general in Europe has been sent back early from a trip to Washington in what the Pentagon on Sunday called a prudent step given Russia’s “lack of transparency” about troop movements across the border with Ukraine. Gen. Philip Breedlove, who is both NATO’s Supreme Allied Commander Europe and the head of the U.S. military’s European Command, arrived in Europe on Saturday evening. He had been due to testify before Congress this week.

McCain looks to US companies in Russia if Putin pushes The U.S. should consider forcing major American companies such as General Electric and Exxon Mobil to suspend business in or pull out of Russia if President Vladimir Putin attempts to take more territory from Ukraine or other neighboring nations, said Sen. written response from the Russian leader to a plan Secretary of State John Kerry presented in The Hague earlier this week, according to a statement from the White House. BLOOMBERG
Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel considered Breedlove’s early return “the prudent thing to do, given the lack of transparency and intent from Russian leadership about their military movements across the border,” a Pentagon spokesman said. The Pentagon announcement came as Secretary of State John Kerry and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov met in Paris seeking to hammer out the framework of a deal to reduce tensions over Russia’s annexation of Ukraine’s Crimea region. Their aim is to develop a proposal conceived by Kerry and Lavrov at earlier sessions, with Western leaders considering broader sanctions against Russia that would target vital sectors of its economy, including its mainstay oil and gas industry. Don’t reread, remember Brainiac. Help your brain “Make It Stick.” Think repetition and reading for long hours are the key to learning? Not according to a new book based on the research of two Washington University professors. “Empirical research into how we learn and remember shows that much of what we take for gospel about how to learn turns out to be largely wasted effort,” reads one of the opening passages of “Make It Stick: The Science of Successful Learning,” out today. The work is the result of 10 years of research into the application of cognitive psychology to education practices by Henry Roediger and Mark McDaniel, both in the Department of Psychology at Washington University in St. Louis. They then enlisted the help of novelist (and
Roediger’s brother-in-law) Peter Brown to turn their findings into a book for a mass audience. Brown has filled “Make It Stick” with illustrative anecdotes to support the academic theories. “When I heard what [Roediger], McDaniel and their colleagues were finding, it seemed like big news: Most of us are going about learning the wrong way! This was something everybody needed to hear.” For example, rereading texts and repeatedly practicing something won’t really help you learn. In fact, most intuitive modes of learning also came up short. The book’s suggested practices say that learning must be arduous. We asked Brown why. What is it about overcoming difficulty that makes learning stronger? The best way to make learning stick is to focus less on getting knowledge into the brain and more

BROWN
“Don’t bother rereading the text or watching the instructional video repeatedly,” says Brown. •
“Instead, review the instructional material once or twice, then test yourself on the knowledge: Explain it, or practice the skill,” he says, adding that it’s good to also leave the material alone for awhile. “Retrieve it from memory again when you’re a little rusty. When you’re struggling, it’s great because that means your brain is engaged.”

on getting it out. You learn best by trying to retrieve an answer from memory. How does that work? When the brain encounters new information, the representation of that is pliable — the brain works at making sense of the new material by filling in gaps and connecting it to what you already know. And then you suggest switching things around? It’s the arduous retrieval practice that strengthens learning. When you mix up your practice, and the retrieval is more difficult because you’re constantly switching between different topics, and it doesn’t feel like you’re mastering them, you are building complex neural connections and a more versatile ability to recall and apply the learning later. BE YOUR OWN CAREER CENTER Gone are the days when students could rely on their college career centers to prepare them for the real world — now it’s on them. Students have to be accountable for their careers and seek out opportunities on their own. In a new study by my company and Internmatch.com, we found that almost 50 percent of students aren’t using their career centers, opting to use online resources instead. According to the National Association of Colleges and Employers, the average ratio of students to career services staff is 1,889 to 1. It’s no wonder almost a third of students in our study said
their career centers were understaffed. What’s most alarming is that 61 percent say career centers are either never or rarely effective in helping them land a job. Clearly, students have to take matters into their own hands. Here’s how:
1
Be proactive: Attend as many career-oriented college events as possible. If your school is bringing in a guest speaker or hosting a roundtable with alumni, you should attend. The worst outcome from going to an event like that is learning more about a different industry, and the best case is making a new connection that could lead to

Use online platforms to educate yourself. Don’t rely on your career center as the single place where you learn job skills. Instead, turn to online resources like Udemy.com, Coursera.com, KhanAcademy.com, SkillShare. com and Udacity.com. Based on your profession and industry, you can learn vital skills that will translate into new opportunities for you.
Meet people face to face to build your soft skills. In a past survey, we found that 40 percent of students feel like technology has hurt their soft skills, such as the ability to interact and build relationships face to face. Make sure you are disconnecting every day so that you can meet people and form stronger connections that can lead to jobs.
4
Do as many internships and freelance gigs as you can until you find your career path. College students are almost always clueless as to which career path to pursue, even after selecting a major. To figure things out, you have to have as many experiences as possible to understand the roles you do and don’t like. By doing so, you may discover the profession you want to be in, the size of the company you want to work for and the corporate culture you’ll do best in.

Hip-hop star shot by nephew during mother’s funeral procession The nephew of Raymond Scott (aka Benzino) allegedly shot his uncle during a family funeral procession in Massachusetts on Saturday. Benzino is on “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” and co-founded popular hip-hop magazine The Source. Prosecutors said the two were driving next to each other when the younger Scott, riding in his Bentley, allegedly shot at his uncle, who was driving a red Dodge SUV. The funeral procession was for Benzino’s mother, Mary Scott. Authorities said Gai Scott fired several times, but did not say how many times Benzino was hit. He suffered injuries that were not life-threatening, authorities said. MICHAEL NAUGHTON
Prince George and Lupo crush it in new royal photo The royal family has released a new official photo, and if it were any more adorable it would be a Buzzfeed quiz about kittens. The photo was taken as Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, look out a window at Kensington Palace while Prince George of Cambridge and Lupo (he’s the family dog and does not get a fancy title) gaze adoringly into each other’s eyes. In case you can’t see, Prince George’s sweater says “George” across the front in white stitching — like he isn’t the most famous 8-month-old in the world.
Slimed at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards You have to kind of love the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards — it’s a chance for stars to get down, dirty and watch Adam Sandler finally win an award that isn’t a Razzie. Mark Wahlberg was the host of Saturday’s shindig — he managed to go the entire night without getting slimed until the very end, when comedian Kevin Hart and Wahlberg’s own three kids got him. “I can’t believe my own kids turned on me,” he yelped after getting drenched. Magician David Blaine
slimed himself in a crazy trick that made him appear to lose his own head (and what came out was slime instead of blood). Austin Mahone and Cody Simpson both got slimed, as well as Pharrell Williams (tricked out in SpongeBob SquarePants pajamas) and Kaley CuocoSweeting. Robert Downey Jr. did not get slimed — maybe because he won for best male buttkicker. “This is the highest honor yet bestowed on me. I’m grateful, humble, the whole deal,” the “Iron Man” star

He-man. The former Governator says action movies have changed Given his rĂŠsumĂŠ, it’s understandable that Arnold Schwarzenegger would think he knew all there was to know about action movies. So naturally when “Sabotageâ€? director David Ayer suggested the former California governor sign up for some weapons training prior to filming, he balked. “Why do I need weapons training? I mean, I’ve shot more guns than anyone in movie history and killed more people than anyone. So why do we need to go through weapons training?â€? he remembers. But Schwarzenegger was actually impressed by Ayer’s push for realism and technical accuracy. “I love that he pushed me,â€? he says. “Sometimes directors get intimidated when they meet someone like me. They say, ‘I’m looking forward to working with you’ and ‘Let’s just figure out how we’re going to get ready for the movie.’ But David came in and was very clear with the set of things that needed to be done.â€? He also knows that the filmmaking world has changed a great deal since his action heyday, and

because of that a decent amount of preparation goes a long way. “[It’s not] like in the ’80s and ’90s, where a studio would raise $100 million and you would have a great action movie, Making “Sabotage didn’t just present Schwarzenegger with a new kind of filmmaking experience, but also a new type of character to play. “I’ve never played a character like this, he says of his role in the morally murky DEA thriller. “I’m usually the good guy and I upset the bad guys. The public reputation of morbid legend Ingmar Bergman is basically secure; even “Muppets Most Wanted featured a “The Seventh Seal gag, with Death playing chess with the Swedish Chef. But things weren’t always smooth for the director. He helped birth the European art film in the 1950s, but by the ’60s he’d been eclipsed by the French New Wave. “Persona, from 1966, was return fire — a film both innovative and mysterious. Since then, “Persona has largely been treated as a headscatcher, often described as being about
two women — an actress (Liv Ullmann) who’s gone willingly mute and a nurse (Bibi Andersson) tending to her — who switch identities. For starters, this isn’t even accurate. What occurs between the two women is oblique, and lacks clear resolution. Only Andersson’s Alma appears to change, and the only thing she swipes from Ullmann’s Elisabet is her husband, for a dreamlike tryst. If it’s a puzzle, it’s missing a few key pieces. Still, “Personaâ€? saves most of its craziness for the last half hour. After a dazzling, cryptic six-minute overture depicting the violent coming-to-life of a film projector, it settles into one of Bergman’s better dramas. Retreating to an island for respite, Alma finds herself opening up to her charge, as though they were lifelong besties. She starts confessing everything, even — in the film’s most famous scene — a time she partook in an orgy with two boys and another girl. Hungry? Pick up the Hungry Girl diet Yum. Lisa Lillien’s new four-week plan incorporates her popular tips and recipes. Lisa Lillien — known to her legions of followers as Hungry Girl — didn’t set out to create a diet when she started the Hungry Girl empire, which has spawned cookbooks, a TV show and sprawling digs in L.A. dubbed “Hungryland.” But she found that the questions she kept getting from fans were about putting her ideas — be they recipes, food swaps or general healthy living tips — into action. She consulted nutritionist David Grotto to come up with “The Hungry Girl Diet,” a four-week plan that promises “big portions [and] big results.” Here’s what we learned about it when we chatted up the foodie maven.
It’s whole-foods based Lillien’s recipes sometimes call for artificial sweeteners or packaged foods, but the basis of her diet plan is about eating clean. “There are so many ingredients that I use that are all natural, that are clean and still are perfectly aligned with what my brand is about. So I wanted to focus

Have you struggled to lose weight?
“I took the time to find ingredients that you can eat a lot of, that give you large volumes of food that are extremely satisfying,” Lillien says. “You wont be hungry on the diet.”
The ENDO Trial
It has rules you can live by
Right now, doctors in Manhattan are accepting new participants for the ENDO Trial. If you are at least 50 lbs. overweight and currently taking oral medication for your type 2 diabetes, you may qualify to participate.
This isn’t some diet that has a start and stop date. These are healthy-eating rules that you can incorporate forever. “People who have 20, 30, 50, 100 pounds to lose, they were repeating the plan and taking from it whatever they wanted, and they continue doing it,” Lillien says.
The study is evaluating EndoBarrier® - an investigational, non-surgical medical device designed to decrease blood sugar and body weight.

Can a spoonful of MCT oil help you drop pounds? Diet. Experts are touting its benefits. Doctors and nutrition experts are buzzing about MCT (medium-chain triglyceride) oil and its benefits for weight loss. But is all the hype worth it? MCT oil is usually derived from coconut oil (in some cases, palm oil), and you can put it in a smoothie, on a salad or just take it directly on a tablespoon. “The beauty of this oil is that it is digested very quickly and you get a quick rush of energy. In a way it works like a carbohydrate, but it’s actually a fat,” says Dr. Frank Lipman, an integrative physician who has his own brand of MCT oil as part of his “Be Well” line of supplements. “It’s good for your metabolism. I’m a big fan of fat, and I don’t think

people eat enough fat,” he continues. Fitness and nutrition expert Aimee Nicotera, previously of Canyon Ranch and Equinox, agrees with him. “Some of these studies have shown that MCT can actually help the process of calorie burning,” she says. Dr. Lipman says that
both men and women, young and old, can reap the oil’s benefits. He recommends starting with half a tablespoon, then working up to one whole tablespoon over time. As for why the MCT is trending, Dr. Lipman says: “People are becoming more aware that fats are healthy. People were always scared of fat, but now they’re getting used to the fact that fat is healthy. And I think that people like it because you get a quick rush of energy.” Nicotera adds that people are always looking for a way to get better results. “If we can figure out how we can lose fat and still eat fat — that’s the essence of what we’re doing here — who doesn’t want that?” LASSE EMIL KRISTIANSEN @metronewyork letters@metro.us

JOBS
It’s over. Leaving a job that is bringing you down can be a big boost. Over and over, people are told that “quitters never win. But in “Mastering the Art of Quitting, readers are shown that learning how to let go can actually make them happier. The book, written by Peg Streep and Alan B. Bernstein, argues that quitting can be beneficial and that letting go might be a solution. The book looks at why people continue to persist and shows readers how to fully disengage from goals that are unproductive. It also gives advice on handling the emotions involved in quitting and how to create better objectives moving forward. It is a “myth of persistence in today’s society that causes a fear of quitting for many people. “Sometimes you merely get stuck running in place, Bernstein says. “What we argue in the book is there’s really an art to deescalating your con-

nection to where you’ve been and disengaging. Of course, the decision to quit something can be a very difficult. Bernstein describes making that decision in a two-step process: “You have to make an intellectual decision to disengage, Bernstein says. “Then you have to make an emotional one: You have to realize it’s going to feel lousy. You’re going to start feeling angry, but then, hopefully, you’re going to make a decision to reacti-
vate yourself. Choosing to reactivate involves an evaluation of goals. Finding the best way to meet those goals is an important step in the art of quitting. “That leads to a change in motivation where you decide where you’re going to go, Bernstein says. “If you’re really dedicated and want to get out of this, you write it down. You prepare yourself by deciding what [are] the potential downfalls of your new direction. Bernstein also lays out several different factors that hold people back from cutting the cord. These factors support the so-called myth of persistence. “The sunk cost fallacy, Bernstein says, “goes into any situation where [you say] ‘I put so much into it I should stay with it.’ That’s not always a good solution. Another factor the book highlights is the idea of unconscious bias, which is when “you get just enough praise to feel that ‘next time I’ll do it better,’ says Bernstein. “There’s a hopefulness that comes from unconscious bias, but it ends up making people very anxious.
Take care
Address your needs Overcoming your unconscious bias and sunk cost fallacy lets you acknowlfal edge a bad situation and ed m move on. “Psychologically, it i frees you from the idea i that you must p persist, Bernstein says. “I “It places persistence as an equal, opposite force to disengagement for and choosing another goal. Secondly, you train yourself to go about the business of making new goals and writing them down. Becoming happier, Bernstein argues, involves advancing toward goals you truly care about. “Are you moving closer to your intrinsic needs? Bernstein says. “Mastering involves advancing your intrinsic goals and minimizing the parts of your life that are working against you. So go for it.

You can take a “print screen” of your confirmation pages, paste the image in an email to yourself or in a document, and you have it in your records! You can go as far as having a folder specifically for receipts and confirmation pages on your computer in your email. MLB SEASON PREVIEW M

Yankees preview
Yanks rotation has new look, questions Robinson Cano might’ve been the biggest name to depart the Yankees this offseason, but Andy Pettitte’s absence can’t be understated. The Yankees rotation will have two key new contributors in Masahiro Tanaka and Michael Pineda. The latter hasn’t pitched since September 2011 after major shoulder surgery derailed a blockbuster trade. The team hopes they see a new CC Sabathia as well after his worst season in New York. “I feel like if I could have been a little better, we might have made the playoffs,” Sabathia told reporters in camp. “I blamed myself for a long time in the offseason, and now I’m over it and ready to go this year.” METRO

Mets season preview. Can they shake off seven seasons of being left out to finally make the playoffs? The objective of the New York Mets is 90 wins. Whether the aspiration is reality or an overly romantic notion will be determined over the next six-and-a-half months. But for a franchise whose recent past has been underscored by a thorough rebuilding, it is radical change in attitude. “It’s attainable,” David Wright told reporters in Port St. Lucie, Fla., during spring training, echoing a number first put out there by general manager Sandy Alderson. “It’s a good starting point for us. Ninety wins is a good starting point.” Despite authoring a 374-436 record over the last five seasons, the Mets enter the 2014 season with unmistakable ambitions due to a long-term organizational reconstruction that has borne cornerstone pieces in starting pitchers Matt Harvey, Zack Wheeler and Noah Syndergaard,
Opening Day squad Most of the Mets’ lineup is set, but there is still a question at first base. •
Catcher: Travis d’Arnaud
•
First base: Ike Davis/Lucas Duda
•
Second base: Daniel Murphy
•
Third base: David Wright
•
Shortstop: Ruben Tejada
•
Left field: Curtis Granderson
•
Center field: Juan Lagares
•
Right field: Chris Young
Starting rotation: Dillon Gee, Bartolo Colon, Zack Wheeler, Jenrry Mejia, Jon Niese
along with catcher Travis d’Arnaud. Harvey will most likely miss the entire season after Tommy John surgery, but the depth in the system is noticeable. Added to that core in the offseason were out-
fielders Curtis Granderson (four years, $60 million) and Chris Young (one year, $7.25 million) and starting pitcher Bartolo Colon (two years, $20 million), all of whom signed free agent contracts. “I think 90 [wins] is a good starting point for giving us something to shoot for and getting guys to understand that mediocrity is not going to be acceptable,” Wright said. “It’s not about being better than last year. What does that get us? Third or fourth place? It’s about being a good team and being a playoff-contending team.” The Mets’ biggest question marks are at first base and shortstop. Lucas Duda and Ike Davis will alternate at first, though both spent time injured during the spring. The starting shortstop duties fall to Ruben Tejada, mostly because there is no one else. Don’t be surprised to see new players at both positions if the Mets are bearing down on that 90-win total six months from now. DENIS GORMAN @DenisGorman sports@metro.us

MLB SEASON PREVIEW

2014 New York Yankees, Mets storylines to watch
For all the talk of Giants and Jets, Knicks and Rangers, New York is first and foremost a baseball town. And after a harsh winter, baseball returns to the five boroughs on Monday. The Yankees missed the playoffs for just the second time since 1995 and went on an unsurprising shopping spree, led by Jacoby Ellsbury and Brian McCann. The Mets missed the playoffs for the seventh straight season and went on a surprising shopping spree. Metro looks at a handful of things you’ll be talking about this season. MARK OSBORNE @METRONYSPORTS
mark.osborne@metro.us
Anything left?
A new Hiro in town The Yankees went out and spent big on a new ace — Japanese right-hander Masahiro Tanaka. At least they hope he will be an ace based on the $175 million they spent to lock him down for the next seven years. The spring training returns were positive (2-0, 2.14 ERA), but the infamous Kei Igawa was 2-0 with a 3.13 ERA in his first spring training, too. No one expects a dud, but no one will be sure until he plays real games either.
NIESE WILL START THE SEASON ON THE DL.

IT’S UNLIKELY TANAKA WILL REPLICATE HIS JAPANESE NUMBERS BUT HAS ACE ABILITY. ALL PHOTOS GETTY IMAGES
Niese’s health
The two biggest signings for the Mets this offseason were Curtis Granderson and Bartolo Colon. Granderson, even if he strikes out a lot, should be dependable in the Mets lineup. Colon is a bigger question. The 40-year-old had a 5.28 ERA and just four strikeouts in 15 1/3 spring innings. But he’s a veteran, who you presume was just stretching out his arm before Opening Day. He needs to replace Matt Harvey’s production.
2 3
The last thing you want after a guy missed a month and a half last year is to have him injured in spring. But that’s exactly what happened with Jon Niese. The Mets don’t seem concerned, but it’s a fear that will last all season.
COLON WAS 18-6 WITH A 2.86 ERA LAST SEASON WITH THE ATHLETICS.
One more trip around baseball
There’s very little left be said about Derek Jeter’s final season — and he still has 162 games left to play. But there’s no question Jeter will be the biggest story for much of the season, even if he doesn’t want it to be. He’ll be receiving accolades at each stop, much like Mariano Rivera did last season. In fact, his first stop in Houston will feature cameos by Andy Pettitte and Roger Clemens.
TEIXEIRA HIT JUST .086 THIS SPRING.

When David Ortiz had capsule surgery on his wrist, he wasn’t himself for two years. What will be the case with Mark Teixeira? He will be out there Opening Day, but the production will be the bigger question mark.
