Miss Bickett appeared before the Board requesting a reconsideration of the Board's action whereby they refused to pay a bill amounting to $39.00 for surgical services, incurred at the time of her injury by accident at the Woodrow Wilson School. Mr. Layton, who was present, stated that he would pay this bill, as he felt that he was in a measure responsible for the defective plumbing which was the cause of the accident. · The monthly report of the Medical Inspector was read to the Board by the Clerk •. This report embodied a request that the Board appropriate the sum of $5.00 a month to help defray the expense of publishing a health bulletin issued monthly for the information of the public.
Mr. Coates moved that the report be accepted and $5.00 a month ap, propriated in accordance with the request of the Medical Inspector~~~~ Mr. Baugh seconded the motion and upon roll call same was carried, , all members present voting 11 Aye. 11 The monthly report of the Truant Officer was read and upon motion of Mr. Fightmaster, seconded by Mr. Alton, was received and placed on file. The bill of H. G. Eastman, amounting to $500.00 for professional services for 1920, was presented to the Board by the Clerk. Mr. Fightmaster moved that Mr. Eastman be offered $250.00 in full settlement of his cla.im. Mr. Coates seconded the motion and upon roll call same was carried, all members present voting 11 Aye. 11 The attention of the Board was called to the fact that the Webb publishing Company had the state adoption on grade cards, register sheets and class records and were insisting thM the order be placed at once for the supply for the schools for the ensuing year, which order, the Clerk stated, would amount to $516. 63. As these blanks were among the supplies upon which bids were to be asked, Mr. Stearley stated that it might be possible to obtain them at a
