Compass Land & Title Hosts Flag Day Food Drive

St. Pete’s downtown Central Avenue was the setting for a “Drive Through/Drop Off” food drive and celebration of Flag Day. As a benefit for the St. Petersburg Free Clinic, it was a huge success. Co-Sponsors Compass Land & Title, BB&T, YES-Homes Group of Keller Williams St Pete Realty, and Outback along with dozens of participants, donated non-perishable food, hygiene items, baby care items and cash donations. The St. Petersburg Free Clinic provides food, shelter, and health care to individuals and families in need. Volunteers in protective masks helped collect 1,297 pounds of food which generated approximately 1,000 meals.

Compass Land & Title, along with co-sponsors Bank of Tampa and SEASALT Properties, plan to host a Tampa Food Drive on Sunday, Oct. 11, 2020 from 10 am - 2 pm at Bank of Tampa located at 601 Bayshore Blvd. to kickoff awareness of World Food day. Proceeds will benefit Feeding Tampa Bay.

Older Lundy & Alvarez Opens Office Location in Trinity

Older Lundy & Alvarez, a multi-service law firm, has a new location in Pasco County. The new location is currently the law office of Amanda Colón. Colón has merged her practice into Older Lundy & Alvarez and she will become a part of the firm’s Marital and Family Law Practice Group.

Working Women of Tampa Bay Celebrates

Working Women of Tampa Bay is celebrating reaching its goal for the Power of 100 Project. The fundraising campaign for the Working Women Foundation was designed to raise $10,000 annually for seed money for women start-ups. The project launched in September 2019 during Working Women’s 10th anniversary dinner. Jessica Rivelli, Founder of Working Women, encouraged 100 women who are apart of the WW tribe to donate $100 before the organization’s 11th year. “We are incredibly grateful for our generous members who jumped in to support women-owned businesses,” Rivelli shared. “We actually had more than 100 donate in just 9 months!”

Tampa Bay cardiologist, Robert Sanchez, MD, was elected to the American Heart Association Southeast Board of Directors. Dr. Sanchez, who sits on the Tampa Bay Metro Board of Directors, will now also serve on the regional board during the Association’s 2020-21 fiscal year. The American Heart Association is the world’s leading voluntary organization dedicated to building healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke.

Dr. Sanchez is a non-invasive cardiologist at The Heart Institute in St. Petersburg, Florida and the Director of Cardiovascular Medicine at Northside Hospital & Tampa Bay Heart Institute.

The Working Women Foundation has awarded more than $50,000 in seed money to female start-ups in the past 5 years. Some of those recipients are now donors and are active in the Power of 100 Project. Working Women of Tampa Bay also offers networking opportunities and professional development to its 700 members.
