Spring Has Arrived.

It’s a season to get outside and enjoy area farmers market, film and music festivals, and food and wine events. It’s a time when things come alive before the heat forces us back inside. Enjoy all the events that the Tampa Bay area has to offer.

In METROPeople, meet Mike Ingold who recently started his own guitar making business. A talented musician is following his passion and dream by combining his woodworking skills and love for guitars. It’s never too late to make dreams a reality.

METRO is out in the community supporting many charitable events. We have photo pictorials of several fashion events including the Tampa Museum of Art’s CITY and Bespoke & Co. Signature Event. Both events offered spectacular evenings of fashion. If you missed it, mark your calendar for Morgan Auto Group Charity Polo Classic, which is always a great time with colorful fashions, great food and drinks along with a professional polo match raising funds for dozens of local non profits.

We went on location and in the studio for a Spring fashion shoot with the talented photographer Brian James. Stylist Valerie Romas gathered fashions from Deborah Kent’s, z•aa dress up studio and Dillard’s in spring colors of pinks, blues and yellows. Hair and makeup stylist Monique McLaughlin created stunning looks on the models.

As we gear up for spring travel, two local historic hotels that originally opened in the 1920s have undergone renovations and are ready to welcome guests for the season in Historic Hospitality. Whether you want a beach escape or a city vibe, The Don Cesar Hotel or The Vinoy St. Pete Resort & Golf Club will welcome you through their iconic entrances.

In METRO Home + Design, we feature condominium designs on both sides of Tampa Bay. In At Home, McKinley Rose Interiors showcases a modern, coastal elegance at Hyde Park House. The design is warm and cozy, but reflects a sophisticated style. In the Home Tour of the Bliss condo project by Rob Bowen of Bowen Design Group, Bowen blends Old World charm with modern design. The space includes textures of rich fabrics, metals and graphics, reflecting the metropolitan surroundings.
