The board of directors of the Alliance Medical Center, the community-oriented health care clinic in Healdsburg, has appointed Sue Labbe as Chief Executive Officer (CEO). “Sue is a highly experienced, passionate primary care leader who has been a leading force for Alliance over the past four years,” said board chairperson Phil Luks. “She has built a strong clinical team that has been both nationally and locally recognized as leaders in the delivery of high-quality healthcare services.” Labbe joined Alliance in January of 2017 and has served as the medical director and chief medical officer since 2018. She led Alliance’s critically important COVID-19 response, including working with numerous local community organizations to equitably deliver over 38,000 doses of COVID vaccines to community members. “Sue has also been very active in the day-today clinical operations, facilities management, administrative oversight, fiscal direction and development of overall organizational culture,” said Luks. “We are certain our patients and our entire community will benefit from her commitment to improving the health and wellness of our community and to maintaining our status as a recognized leader in improving community health. “ Previously, Alex Armstrong held the executive officer position from 2017 to 2020. He was followed by Joan Churchill, who took over in 2020 just as the COVID pandemic struck the community, and

The artwork can be submitted through the organization’s website at healdsburgcenterforthearts. org. Notification of juried results will be made on Aug. 2. The Healdsburg Center for the Arts’ storefront moved from Plaza Street to 334 Center St. in 2021, which gives the gallery more accessibility to foot

READ Participants in the summer reading program are encouraged to use the Beanstack app

on their mobile devices or a paper reading log, available at the library.

The library is abuzz with Summer Reading once again in 2022. It is hoped that many have been enjoying the library’s Summer Reading program, in which participants of all ages can join the Summer Reading adventure. The Beanstack app can be used on a mobile device, or a paper reading log can be picked up at the library. The most exciting part

about this year’s summer program has been the reintroduction of in-person events at the library. Over the summer, the library has held teen programs every Wednesday afternoon, children’s events on Tuesdays and Thursdays, more Storytimes in the Park some Friday afternoons and events for all ages on Wednesday nights. The last Park Storytime for July, for example, will be held at 10:30am, Friday, July 22 at Giorgi Park. Another event coming up is an all-ages performance by Afro-Cuban ➝ Library Events, 4
