CITY COUNCIL CANDIDATES FACE OFF AT THE RAVEN

The seven candidates for Healdsburg’s three open city council seats will be on the Raven Perform ing Arts Theater stage tonight, Thursday, Oct. 6, in their second meeting of the election season.

The AAUW (Ameri can Association of Uni versity Women) Candi date Forum and Town Hall will begin promptly at 6:30pm. Moderators will be Laura Tredinnick, president of the Healds burg AAUW, and Marcy Flores, associate director, academic development, Corazon Healdsburg.

Maryann Cavallo, another AAUW member, will be sorting the ques tions asked by the audi ence and giving them to the moderators. All three moderators live outside the Healdsburg city lim its and thus cannot vote in the coming election.

Spanish translation will be offered to anyone who needs it, by using a head set, with Javier Torres act ing as translator.

The November bal lot will include four can didates for two fullterm, four-year city council seats. Voters can select two, and the top two vote getters will be elected. There is also a partial twoyear term up for election; three candidates are com peting for that single seat.

“Once again, we want to stress that AAUW is committed to impartial ity. As an organization, we will not endorse any can didates,” said Tyra Ben oit, public policy director, Healdsburg AAUW.

Each candidate will have 90 seconds for an opening statement, and one minute each to respond to four questions

ST. PAUL’S PAUL BLANCHARD TO PLAY WORKS OF 19TH CENTURY COMPOSER

The music of Sir John Stainer (1840-1901) will be featured at the sec ond in a series of free pipe-organ concerts on Sunday, Oct. 9. The con cert, a choral evensong, begins at 5pm at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Healdsburg.

Paul Blanchard, director of music for St. Paul’s, will play Stainer’s

“Magnificat in F major,” “Nunc Dimittis in D minor” and others, as well as Stainer’s famous anthem, “God So Loved the World.”

A Choral Evensong is a service that is both played on the church’s Bigelow pipe organ and sung. The Oct. 9 event honors the feast of Sir Wilfred Grenfell, a mis sionary to Newfoundland in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

The Oct. 9 event is the second in the 202223 series of “Second Sun day” pipe-organ concerts presented by St. Paul’s. Michael Simpson of

Richmond, VA, will be the guest organist for the Nov. 13 concert. The Dec. 11 concert will feature Blanchard playing festive holiday carols. In Janu ary 2023, the concerts will switch to the third

Sunday of the month and will continue through June.

St. Paul’s Episcopal Church is located at 209 Matheson St., one block east of Healdsburg’s downtown Plaza. Concerts begin at

HEALDSBURG HAS NEW BIKE SHARING PROGRAM

CITY REPLACES ZAGSTER WITH E BIKES FROM BIRD GLOBAL

It wasn’t that long ago that the City of Healds burg welcomed a bikesharing service to town called Zagster, in con junction with the thennew Hotel Trio. Spiffy new bicycles could be checked out via a cell phone app, pedaled about town and returned to the same or another Zagster station.

5pm. Admission is free. Those who cannot attend the concert may watch the livestream on Facebook, or view the concert later on YouTube. Details at the church website, www. stpauls-healdsburg.org.

The idea was to reduce vehicular traffic and greenhouse gas emis sions, and give the visi tors a mile or so from the Plaza a chance to get there without taking up park ing space.

Great idea. Whether it was ahead of its time or not, Zagster went bank rupt in 2020 due to the pandemic, leaving behind hundreds of bike-share networks in communities nationwide, Healdsburg among them.

When things opened up from COVID isolation, many thought it was a good idea to bring back the idea of bike sharing. So the concept is being revived and improved, and as soon as later this month a fleet of blue Class 1 pedal-assist electric bikes will be rolled out, available for shortterm rental to anyone over 18 who has the app.

Cross Country Runners Pick Up the Pace

SHOW SPEED AND DEPTH IN REGIONAL MEETS

Healdsburg High cross country runners, both girls and boys, are faring well so far this season in this popular prep sport. At the ven erated Artichoke Invita tional, an annual meet ing of runners from large schools and small, races are run in separate heats for each category—both large school and small school runners separated by school year, all on the same 2.3 mile track that begins and ends at Half Moon Bay High.

As a result, well over 100 runners compete in each of eight boys’ races, and only slightly smaller numbers among the girls.

“We like this meet because small schools run against other small schools,” said Mike Efram, who with Kate Guthrie coaches both boys’ and girls’ runners. “It also has separate races for the younger runners. As you see with the results, it allows the younger run ners to shine.”

Taking that as a cue, we find that Kaeden Anderson continued his winning ways with a first place out of 169 runners in the “Frosh/Soph Small Schools” contest with a blistering 12:46, well ahead of the second fin isher at 13:03.

Earlier in the after noon, the first race was the small schools’ fresh man race, and Jake McWilliams medaled by placing 12th out of 108 runners. He was followed by his teammates Wyatt Drew (45th) and Milo Timmson-Miller (90th).

Other HHS boys who competed were Dash Willmore, Matthew Niel son, Jack Willmore, Alex Cyphers and Miguel

Figueroa. The school did not make up a five-per son team in any category, so did not earn a team score.

When it came to the girls in the girls’ frosh/ soph competition of 146 runners, we find Healds burg freshman Bea trice Hawkes coming in 16th (16:39), two min utes faster than her soph omore teammate Sierra Anderson (18:57). Fia Huebel (21.34) rounded out the HHS girls’ effort. Brenna Scott ran in the varsity competition.

Hoot Owl Creek

While the Artichoke is the biggest event during the school season until the league and confer ence championships in November, more com mon are league meets against one or two other schools. On Sept. 28, Hoot Owl Creek vineyard was the scene of Healds burg’s meeting with Elsie Allen and St. Vin cent. While neither Elsie nor St. Vincent fielded a scoring team (of at least five finishing runners), the coach is pretty sure the Hounds would have taken the meet in any case.

The results bear him out: The first six finish ers in varsity boys were all from Healdsburg, including Kaeden Ander son with another recordsetting run of 18.13—a time that seems high for a three-mile route, but is a new course record at what runners call “Top of the World.”

“If you have ever run the course, you will know why we named it that, as the course takes the run ners way up high above the Alexander Valley for an amazing view (and a tough grind of a hill!),” said Coach Efram.

Anderson crushed his own course record, set last year, of 19:05, by nearly a minute. These days, Anderson owns the Top of the World.

Other varsity boys included Jack McWil liams in second (20.24), Matthew Nielson in third (22.14), Harrison Threl fall (22.25), Jack Wilm ore (22:32) and Lucas York in sixth (22:42).

Among the girls, fresh man Beatrice Hawkes made a remarkable high school debut, winning her first race by a mar gin of nearly four minutes (25:21) over sophomore Sierra Anderson (29:17). They were followed by Alisa Strykowski (31.26), Maggie Trebilock (34.16) and Brenna Scott (37.56).

For this meet at any rate, those five girls were the team. “It took a team effort here though, because without all five of our girls running, we would have not had a scoring team,” said Efram. “The spirit of this team is just great!”

Healdsburg High next hosts a cross country meet at Hoot Owl Creek on Oct. 16, against Analy.

STILL LIFE WITH STONE AND PEAR

LOCAL ARTIST T BARNY PARTICIPATES IN ART TRAILS

Sometimes, it’s just a nice thing to do. Stare at artwork. I’m not sure why it should be so, but it is for me. Art, particularly sculp ture, is a touch stone— oops. No, ahhhhhhh. Pun intended and achieved! Bada bing pause.

Sculptures are a little more visceral for me than paintings. Even sculpture in its abstract form speaks volumes. Peace. Smooth ness. Stillness. Solidity. Shape. Translucence. Tex ture. Touch. Temperature. Change in light or viewing angle. Complexity in tone, shade and veining. Weight and bearing.

This sculpture was cre ated by T Barny, a local artist with a national rep utation. His studio is #1 on Art Trails, where studios all over Sonoma County open their doors to visi tors. The Bohemian’s “Best of the North Bay” rated the event #1 for art.

The piece is part of Barny’s “rai” series. Using lost material from larger sculptures, these shapes copy an unusual coinage called “rai.” Also in the picture are Asian pears, Gravenstein apples from a local orchard, and yes, peeking in is a Macanudo cigar case.

Fun facts: Rai is a form of money once and still used in Micronesia. It is reportedly pronounced räy, or for those who don’t like umlauts, just go with rai-ai. The form of coinage mimics ancient Chinese money, which used round circles of copper with a hole in the center.

Put in circulation in 260 BC, rai also have a hole in the center, allow ing coins to be strung together. Micronesian rai used on the Yap islands are made from stone, as is this sculpture.

Fun fact: Rai is a form of money once and still used in Micronesia.

Some rai are as large as eight feet in circumfer ence; others are as small as 1.5 inches. While rich per sons’ large coins could not be moved, records indi cated who coins belonged to if ownership changed.

Asian pears (Pyrus pyr ifolia) come from Japan and China, where they’ve been grown for over 3,000 years. Unlike European pears, Asian pears’ skins do not change color as they ripen. They have a higher water content and grainier texture, so they are not typically used in baking.

Sharing a pear in Chi nese means a bit of the opposite. It means sep arating from loved ones. Asian pears, because they are expensive, are consid ered a noble gift.

See TBarny.com for other noble gifts.

Bike Sharing

On Sept. 19, the city allocated up to $290,000 (most of it from a federal Quick Strike grant) for a new bike share contract with Bird Global, and a week later Bird rep Mike Covato showed up at the Plaza to introduce their powder-blue bike to resi dents (he called the color “electric sky blue,” a com pany branding).

Covato explained the characteristics of the styl ish bike at the Healds burg Plaza. “It’s a little bit more robust, to be able to survive the wear and tear that you would antic ipate (from shared use),” he said. Features include a dual brake system, fend ers to keep road debris off the user’s clothes, a bell on the handlebars, and always-on headlights and taillights.

Most appealing is the scooter-style access— there’s no center rail to struggle over, but a low step between seat and steering system that

makes it easy to mount (more like a Vespa than a Schwinn). The seat is soft and adjustable, the han dle grips are padded, and there’s a basket mounted over the front wheel for carrying a purse or farm ers’ market shopping bag.

“All an individual has to do is download the Bird app, scan the QR code to unlock the bike and take it where you need to go,” said Covato. “At the end of your ride, you’ll be prompted to take a pho tograph to prove that you parked it appropriately before the rental is con firmed and you receive a receipt.”

Helmets are “actively encouraged,” said Covato, who was passing out free bike helmets at the Plaza last week. (California state law requires anyone under 18 to wear a helmet when riding bikes, scoot ers, skateboards or inline roller skates.)

The Bird app is avail able for either Android

or iOS in 18 languages, with local maps and pins marking bike share sta tions within range of the user’s cell phone. It can be preloaded to pay for the user’s rides. It will also locate Bird bikes (or scooters, where avail able) in the area. Users of the app can also receive a free helmet (only pay ing for shipping), as well as safety tips, promotions and other features.

Pioneer in micro-mobility

The concept of urban “last-mile” or micro-mo bility is not entirely new— that’s the market targeted by Segway over 20 years ago and more successful ly in the last half-dozen by Bird, Lime and others. Many communities have the simpler foot-powered e-scooter systems; in fact, the City of Santa Rosa in May approved a year-long pilot program with Bird for e-scooters, as Windsor did in April.

The original Zagster contract with Healds burg, which began in 2018, set up seven bike

exchange stations in the downtown area, and now the city plans to build on that pre-existing net work with additional sta tions in farther-rang ing locations. That would make Healdsburg the first e-bike share system in the county, said Council member Ariel Kelley, who was crucial in bringing the program to Healds burg when she served as a director of the Sonoma County Transportation Authority (SCTA) last year.

“I advocated that this project be funded due to it being able to move quickly (as was a require ment of the ‘Quick Strike’ grant),” said Kelley, because the existing net work of former Zagster stations made the conver sion to an e-bike vendor relatively rapid and sim ple. The city was awarded the $250,000 grant last year, budgeted an addi tional $40,000 this year, and ultimately approved the contract with Bird Rides Inc. for a three-year trial program on Sept. 19.

The cost of the bike rental is modest—a dol lar fee, plus a set amount per commuting mile rid den. A sample rate shows Healdsburg riders pay rates of $1.46 a mile, com pared to Bird’s standard of $2.92. Additional dis counts for seniors, peo ple on fixed incomes, stu dents and veterans are also included in the city’s contract with Bird Rides.

The Bird bike has a built-in geo-sensing pro gram, to track the loca tion (and miles traveled) of each bike. The pro gram can even control the bike to some degree, such as reducing its top speed (from 15 mph) to a

CLARIFICATIONS ON PLAZA CINEMA CENTER

PLANNING IS STILL UNDERWAY

Healdsburg Tribune Staff

The effort to raise enough money for AVFilm, the Alexan der Valley Film Society, to begin work on their dream Plaza Cinema Center is ongoing.

As community lead and programmer Chel sea Kurnick clarified, the lease for the Healdsburg Avenue property is not

slower rate in pedestrian zones or, if it’s taken out side the contracted juris diction altogether, to dis able acceleration—and encourage the rider to return to the service area.

Rough patches in the road

During the Sept. 19 City Council meeting, several citizens raised objections in public comment, such as saying that riding bikes is too dangerous in town as it is, without adding more bikes or at the very least bike lanes to accom modate them.

Larry Zimmer, the city’s director of transpor tation and public works, acknowledged that there were no infrastructure improvements in the contract with Bird, but that such improvements are ongoing as part of the bicycle master plan.

“It’s a limited amount of funds, and there’s only so much we can do. But I feel we’ve been making great strides,” with both bike and pedestrian proj ects planned over the next five years, with a “signif icant amount of money dedicated to them.”

One such is the Healdsburg Avenue Improvement Project, now authorized to start design plans and eligible for $12 million in grants to build, among other avenue enhancements, protected bike lanes from Powell Avenue to the northern city limits. “We are very hopeful that we receive that full amount this year,” Zimmer said, if not as soon as October, then in a second round of grants later in the year.

The week in Healds burg was a newsworthy one for Bird as well—on

yet finalized; any plans and details are aspira tional rather than actual.

“Even though word got out earlier than we hoped, the public excite ment is infectious,” Kath ryn Hecht, the execu tive director, posted on Facebook. “As you may imagine, we are not able to disclose anything fur ther until internal details have been buttoned up. Thanks in advance for understanding.”

They also posted a conceptual floor plan of the projected threescreen theater to be accessed from Healds burg Avenue.

The winery that hosted the AVFilm presentation reported in the @shop localhealdsburg account was Cartograph Wines,

Sept. 22, company founder Travis Vander Zanden (who formerly worked with both Uber and Lyft) was replaced as CEO by Shane Torchiana in the wake of poor per formance by the publiclytraded stock. They also lost their home city of Santa Monica as a cus tomer for their e-scoot ers, though 2022 has seen a number of new con tracts with other cities in California, Oregon and Washington.

Robert Singleton, who represented Bird in their negotiations with Healds burg, put a positive spin on the restructure by pointing out that Torchi ania has been the lead on city relationships for the past year. “The fact that we are putting the head of the folks who most care about the needs of our core customers I think is a step to making sure that it is front and center in all of our future business,” he told the Tribune

The city council was favorably disposed toward the plan, and appreci ated its local benefits.

“It’s exciting to see pro gramming that typically happens in larger cities, in urban cities, come to rural communities like ours,” said Mayor Ozzy Jiménez. “I think it’s great as a young person to see that. It’s also great get ting folks on bikes to reduce green-house gas emissions.”

The three-year pilot program with Bird will become available in late October or early Novem ber, with between 50 and 100 bikes allocated for the streets of Healdsburg, depending on mainte nance, charging and sea sonality, said Singleton.

340 Center St. Said Alan Baker, who with Serena Lourie is co-owner, “Plaza Cinema Center is one of the most exciting and positive developments in Healdsburg, with bene fits for ALL of North ern Sonoma County. As local business owners, we cannot say enough about the leadership of AVFilm. We’ve had the opportunity to partici pate in strategy sessions from the beginning and are immensely proud of the team’s progress.”

The Raven Film Center’s 15,000 square foot location remains for lease, at $1/square foot; contact Eric Drew at Healdsburg Sotheby’s International, 707-433-6555.

ROSS

May 5, 1940 - September 19, 2022

Ross Stromberg, son of Noah Anders Stromberg and Anna Laura Noyes, died peacefully September 19, 2022 of Alzheimer’s disease. He was 82 years old.

Born May 5, 1940 in Arcata, California, Ross enjoyed summer trips to the Stromberg family camp in lower Redway, California, where he and his brother Rick would swim in the Eel River and play among the redwoods with their cousins, aunts, and uncles. Ross graduated from Arcata High School in 1958 and Humboldt State in 1962 with a degree in Political Science and stories of his prowess as a yell leader for the Lumberjack cheer squad.

Ross graduated from UC Berkeley’s Law School 1965 where he was a member of the Moot Court Honors Program. Ross traded summer jobs in lumber mills and turkey farms for an associate attorney position at Hanson Bridgett Marcus & Jenkins LLP in San Francisco. He was admitted to the State Bar of California in January 1966.

It was during his final year at Cal that Ross connected with his childhood friend from Arcata, Margaret “Margi” Telonicher, while they were both home for the holidays. The flood of 1964 washed out all the roads, prolonging a stay that would nurture their new romance. They married in 1965 and settled in north Berkeley where they raised their four children, each of whom he referred to with nicknames that he continued to use throughout their adult lives. The 1970s and 1980s in Berkeley are remembered with countless Cal games, trips to Redway, picnics, superbowl parties, and river rafting trips with the Spear, Foley, Kraetzer, Warden, Hawthorne, and Vlahos families, among many others.

Early in his law career, Ross joined a partner at a meeting with the California Hospital Association to discuss representing the Association. The partner left Ross, an upstart lawyer with little experience, with a client that others overlooked, because, to hear Ross describe it, healthcare law barely existed in the mid-1960s. Ross took an interest in the client and would go on to spend his entire career at the forefront of the rapidly expanding arena of healthcare law, quickly establishing himself as a leading lawyer in the field. Ross attended the first annual Meeting of the American Hospital Association’s American Society of Hospital Attorneys (ASHA) in 1968, and went on to attend all of the next 47 Annual Meetings as a Board Member, faculty presenter, and Fellow. Ross was a past president of ASHA, and also a past president of the American Health Lawyers Association, and the founding director of the California Society for Healthcare Attorneys.

Celebrate

OBITUARIES

Ross specialized in hospital mergers & acquisitions and helped establish managed care networks nationwide, a key organizing principle of universal healthcare, a cause he cared deeply about. He also guest lectured in a graduate course “Health Facilities and Services Planning,” at UC Berkeley’s School of Public Health in the early 1980s. While born, raised, and educated in California, Ross’s healthcare work was truly national in scope and he provided legal services for health systems, companies and communities across the United States.

Ross developed a reputation among his peers and clients as an extremely sharp legal mind who could transcend complicated contractual work with warmth, friendliness, and quick wit, fostering a sense of camaraderie among all those he worked with.

In 2009, Ross concluded his law practice at Jones Day law firm as the partner leader of their national health law practice and continued as a healthcare consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers until 2015. Ross was as tireless in his volunteer work as he was during his legal career, serving as Chair of the Board of Directors of Sutter Medical Center of Santa Rosa, and as a board member of Sutter Health West Bay, the Sutter Pacific Medical Foundation, the Pediatric Dental Initiative Surgery Center, and the Healthcare Foundation of Northern Sonoma County. Ross also fundraised for Healdsburg Jazz by hosting “Jazz in the Meadow” events at his home on Wallace Creek, and became an active supporter of Farm to Pantry.

Ross moved to Healdsburg in 1997 where he carried out his lifelong dream of living on a vineyard and producing his own wine. Having grown grapes in Lake County during the pioneering days of the 1970s, Ross bottled estate grown vintages of cabernet sauvignon in 2005 and 2006 that earned acclaim, and continued to bottle wines under the Stromberg Vineyards label until 2015. Ross leaned into his social life in Healdsburg with the same gusto that he brought to his professional life. While not an athletedespite showing bravado on the pétanque courts of the local Healdsburg league — he was an excellent dancer, and would happily twirl anyone within earshot of a song.

He married Gillian Rendle in 2006, and the two settled into their home in the Dry Creek Valley, enjoying travel and their friends in the Healdsburg community. Gillian passed away in 2015 from ALS. Ross later found a new partner in Melita Love on and off the pétanque court, whom he loved with all of his heart up until the day he died.

Ross had few regrets, though sadly he never got to see his Cal Bears go to the Rose Bowl nor live out the day to see Trump behind bars.

Ross is survived by his four children, Kristin “Krissy Wissy,” Matthew “Maffer-tooter-bug,” Gretchen “Snooks,” and Erik “Buffalo Boy;” stepchildren David Weiner and Sarah Schaffer; grandchildren Kian, Manu, Jasper, Anders, George, Olive, and Maria; his brother Rick and sister-in-law Pat; his daughters-in-law Yalda and Megan; his son-in-law John; numerous nieces and nephews; his former wife Margi, and his last love, Melita.

Family and friends will be holding a Celebration of Life on October 15. For inquiries, please contact matthewstromberg@gmail.com. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Humboldt State University Foundation, Sutter Santa Rosa Regional Hospital, Healthcare Foundation of Northern Sonoma County, Corazon Healdsburg, Pediatric Dental Initiative, Farm to Pantry, Golestan Kids, Healdsburg Jazz, UC Berkeley Law, or The ALS Association Golden West Chapter.

VERONICA ELIZABETH BAUMUNK

August 15, 1923 - September 27, 2022

V eronica Elizabeth Baumunk went to God peacefully on September 27, 2022 in hospice care. Wanting to live to be 100, she was 99 last month and so began her 100th year.

Veronica was born to Fred and Mary Decker on August 15, 1923 in Alhambra, California, the second oldest of six children.

Veronica and her husband Newel moved to Sonoma County in 1960 and raised their five children here.

Before upcycling was even popular, Veronica could take a broken down piece of furniture, and refinish it into an antique treasure. Known as Vickie around the county, her booth at flea markets was always flooded with customers.

Veronica was preceded in death by her parents, all her siblings and her ex-husband Newel. She is survived by her daughter Dianne Baumunk, son Bob (Patty), son Dave (Karen), daughter Pat Barry (Randy), and son Ken (Alice) as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Rev. Sean Rogers will preside at a graveside service at 1 pm Friday, Oct 7th at Oak Mound Cemetery in Healdsburg. In lieu of flowers, stop at a garage sale and buy something to upcycle. Veronica will be smiling at you.

NOTICE TO POTENTIAL BIDDERS: If you are considering bidding on this property lien, you should understand that there are risks involved in bidding at a trustee auction. You will be bidding on a lien, not on the property itself.

Placing the highest bid at a trustee auction does not automatically entitle you to free and clear ownership of the property. You should also be aware that the lien being auctioned off may be a junior lien. If you are the highest bidder at the auction, you are or may be responsible for paying off all liens senior to the lien being auctioned off, before you can receive clear title to the property. You are encouraged to investigate the existence, priority, and size of outstanding liens that may exist on this property by contacting the county recorder’s office or a title insurance company, either of which may charge you a fee for this information. If you consult either of these resources, you should be aware that the same lender may hold more than one mortgage or deed of trust on the property.

NOTICE TO PROPERTY OWNER:

The sale date shown on this notice of sale may be postponed one or more times by the mortgagee, beneficiary, trustee, or a court, pursuant to Section 2924g of the California Civil Code. The law requires that information about trustee sale postponements be made available to you and to the public, as a courtesy to those not present at the sale. If you wish to learn whether your sale date has been postponed, and, if applicable, the rescheduled time and date for the sale of this property, you may call (855) 976-3916 or visit this Internet Web site www.auction.com using the file number assigned to this case 22001370-1 CA. Information about postponements that are very short in duration or that occur close in time to the scheduled sale may not immediately be reflected in the telephone information or on the Internet Web site. The best way to verify postponement information is to attend the scheduled sale.

NOTICE TO TENANT: You may have a right to purchase this property after the trustee auction pursuant to Section 2924m of the California Civil Code. If you are an “eligible tenant buyer,” you can purchase the property if you match the last and highest bid placed at the trustee auction. If you are an “eligible bidder,” you may be able to purchase the

property if you exceed the last and highest bid placed at the trustee auction. There are three steps to exercising this right of purchase. First, 48 hours after the date of the trustee sale, you can call (855) 976-3916 or visit this Internet Web site https://tracker. auction.com/sb1079 using the file number assigned to this case 22001370-1 CA to find the date on which the trustee’s sale was held, the amount of the last and highest bid, and the address of the trustee. Second, you must send a written notice of intent to place a bid so that the trustee receives it no more than 15 days after the trustee’s sale. Third, you must submit a bid so that the trustee receives it no more than 45 days after the trustee’s sale. If you think you may qualify as an “eligible tenant buyer” or “eligible bidder,” you should consider contacting an attorney or appropriate real estate professional immediately for advice regarding this potential right to purchase.
