SPORTS CAMPS

This camp teaches children practical life skills. Its flagship sleepaway camp will take place in Oakhurst (near Yosemite) July 28-Aug. 4. The weeklong camp, designed for children ages 7-13, will provide 17 different workshops to gain reallife skills from self-care, fixing and creating things to leadership and outdoor orientation. Workshops will be combined with activities such as ziplining, archery, wall climbing and boating.

ARCHERY Campers will learn the ancient sport of archery, but will practice with a modern compound bow. CHRISTOPHER HIGH SCHOOL AQUATICS CENTER Christopher High School, 850 Day Rd, Gilroy The City of Gilroy Recreation Department Summer Aquatics Program offers a variety of ways to enjoy the pool including lap swim, recreation swim, swim lessons, fitness classes, camps and pool parties.
