The world as we know it is changing. The past year has been challenging for most people to a greater or lesser degree. The circumstances have called for isolation, we have to keep a distance to each other physically and socially and withdraw to our homes.

This means that our home now, more than ever, is our sanctuary. Therefore, it is of utmost importance that this is a place of peace and relaxation and thereby, our base for recharging. During many years of stressful life; mindfulness and conscious living have become essential to me and this has, in some ways, affected my way of design thinking also. With the new collections, I have had a more sensorial focus than ever, and the detailed attention to qualities, materials, patterns and shapes, has translated into designs aimed at stimulating all the senses, to create a holistic sense of wellbeing. Tactile qualities in a product is essential, and colours are proven to have a great impact on our minds. In these days of uncertainty, we all seek to find comfort and optimism. It is my belief that it makes a significant difference to us when we choose quality in the things we are surrounded by. In this context, sustainability has become a major priority for me. And more than anything, I believe in timeless design and durable quality as the best means to achieve sustainability. Fill your home with things you love and care about, and let it reflect who you are, and what matters to you!

ART PIECE As always our collections are deeply inspired by Mette’s fondness of mindfulness and conscious living which is reflected in her timeless designs. This autumn we have taken it to the next level with the ART PIECE series. ART PIECE is the name of a new collection of unique products based on Mette Ditmer’s own ceramic craftings. The items have been reproduced in a stone-resin material, which is less fragile than ceramics, so that the items can withstand everyday life without breaking too easily. METTE DITMER
As the items are finalized by hand after molding, each one will appear a little different from the next, adding to the uniqueness of each art piece.

“For me, sculpturing with my hands is a rather new experience, and it has proven both mindful and addictive to me. Giving up the urge to control the process has been an educational challenge, but it brings forward results, which I believe I could not have thought and put down on paper. MONO The MONO design is made of 80% recycled cotton mix. The design is identical to our TRIO bed cover and cushions, but where the TRIO design is woven with a mix of off-white yarn, the new MONO version has a dark grey ground mix. Hence, the two versions appear rather different, even though they have the same design pattern. The holder fits all regular kitchen rolls and has a small ridge on the bottom plate to hold the roll in place.
