When should girls start wearing a bra?
A Girls come in all different shapes and sizes, and they develop at different times too. Usually girls get their first bra between 10-14 years of age. When girls start to develop their buds and some breast tissue or they are feeling uncomfortable or self-conscious without support, then it’s time to get that first bra. Q
How do I know if the bra is the right fit?
A When a bra fits well, it is comfortable and supportive. The band should be at the same height all the way around the body. You should be able to fit 2 fingers comfortably under the band and the shoulder straps should be firm but not cutting into the shoulders. If you have any of the following, then your bra is not the right fit: • The bra is cutting in around the back, under or at the side of the cup. When you take it off it leaves red marks. • The band is riding up your back • The breast is overflowing out the top of the bra or around the side of the cup. • The centre front panel is coming forward which means the cup is too small. It is important to wear the right size bra to give you optimum comfort and support. The best thing to do is find out what your bra size is.

A Your bra size will be your band size (8, 10, 12 etc.) as well as a cup size (A, B, C etc.). A BlossyBloom stockist will be able to professionally measure you to give you your correct bra size.
