Macchu Picchu is located in Cusco, PerĂş. In quechua language means old mountain.


❖ The trip it’s about 4 days and 3 nights. ❖ Inca Trail is part of the road network developed by the Incas to unite the main administrative and religious centers throughout the Tawantinsuyo.


In the trip we can see some agricultural terraces that served to feed different places travelers taking this route to get to Machu Picchu.


The first night we are going to camp in the area of Huayllabamba.(3000m) This is a small town surrounded by fields of corn, potato crops.


Then we are going to climb up to the highest point of Warmihuañusca, in Quechua means “When the woman dies“ This is the most difficult part of the trip it´s about 4200 m.


During the climb we will appreciate how the vegetation changes. When we are in the top we can have a beautiful view of the mountains.


The second camp is in the Valley of the River Pacaymayu. The next day is the most beautiful because of the presence of Inca sites along the trail.


Is named for its shape of half circle. This semicircular shape allows protected from strong winds in the area.


‘The dominant people’, where we can found interesting Inca ruins, and will have a panoramic view of the valley Acobamba.


“Village above the clouds“, It is located on the edge of a ravine. Here we will find many cultivation terraces and ceremonial fountains.


“Forever Young“ the name cames from the typical orchids that can be found throughout the year with flowers in red, yellow and purple.


We reach the area Intipunku or Puerta del Sol. A small complex of small buildings that apparently seem to have been used as a control.


If we begun to walk early, we will arrive just before dawn, this is the best time to contemplate the majestic splendor of Machu Picchu, the Lost City of the Incas.


Machu Picchu was declared a Peruvian Historical Sanctuary in 1981 and a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983. In 2007, Machu Picchu was voted one of the New Seven Wonders of the World.
