Description
Roman Planetarium and Astronomical Museum was established in 1928 and then was closed down in 1980 because unfortunately they needed the building for something else. A new Planetarium in another building was opened in May 2004, The Planetarium was established within the buildings of the Museum of Roman Culture where kids and adults can learn more about the history of the Roman Empire and walk around observing ancient ruins and reconstructions of building the way they used to be!

Next to the Planeatrium, The Astronomical Museum was developed with models, planetary dioramas and multimedia stations, which integrate the cultural and educational aspect of the planetarium. The two structures complement each other. Since the Planetarium’s opening it has continuously engaged in educational activities and increased its efforts to diffuse scientific and astronomical culture to all their visitors! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S 0sjtmlQW0g
