2020’s circumstances helped us rethink the way we do business. We moved our events to Zoom, socially distanced, closed our offices, worked from home, held virtual open houses, filmed virtual showings, and much more. Realty Alliance is an invite-only organization for top independent brokers. Members of our leadership team regularly meet with other top-producing brokerages to discuss current trends and industry-related news. This was beneficial during the pandemic, as our leadership team was able to gain insight on how best to handle the challenges the real estate industry has been facing.

As an affiliate of the network, our brokerage is a local and global market leader. Agents have access to world-class marketing resources and the connections necessary to help any client no matter where they are moving to or from. Website linking throughout the Leading RE network allows our client’s properties to be seen on a global scale. As an added benefit to the program, our agents have access to a curated Institute that allows them to stay up-to-date on all things real estate by attending any number of the free or paid classes offered. The Leading RE Institute proved very beneficial during a time when our agents were at home and looking for ways to improve their skills in a market that changed overnight.

Our partnership with Luxury Portfolio International provides international marketing opportunities for luxury listings over $750k. Even during a pandemic, luxury sales remained strong. In order to capitalize on that momentum, the Marketing department redesigned our in-house luxury program. They updated the Meybohm Fine and Luxury Collection signs, as well as the templates used to market those elite properties.

After completing licensing classes at the Meybohm Institute, the Meybohm Success Center provides an environment where newly licensed agents are equipped with the right mindset, skillset, resources, and actions to realize success in their new career. Not only do they receive handson, in-classroom, practical training, they have a non-competing manager/mentor for their first 12 months as well as a network of other agents with whom to grow and learn. New agents can come through the training, build their business and have a successful career here at Meybohm.

Protecting Our Family When the lockdown ended it was important that we kept the safety of our Meybohm family at the forefront of every decision made to re-open our offices. We continue to encourage agents to work from home as much as possible. Plexiglass guards and hand sanitizing stations went up throughout our offices. Masks are mandated to be worn in our offices, and in person meetings be held to a minimum and social distanced if absolutely necessary. The Meybohm Leadership Team kept in constant communication with our agents and staff throughout the year to share mandate news, company procedures as well as collateral they could share with their clients to keep them up-to-date and safe.

We’ve provided informational materials on the COVID-19 pandemic, monthly newsletters, and graphics for eBlasts, social media posts, and flyers. Through the use of our new collateral analytics program, we also helped our agents target their specific audience with farming cards and dynamic ads. With such a diverse group of agents, a singular template just won’t work. Our team works hard to offer personalized marketing to each of our agents in order to best reflect their personality and ultimately, their brand.

Caring for our Community E.G. Meybohm instilled a culture of giving in his company from the beginning, by not only building neighborhoods, but by making neighbors. The company makes many charitable contributions every year, but never has it been more important than in 2020. Continuing our annual traditions like Thanksgiving dinner for Garden City Rescue or bell ringing for the Salvation Army proved difficult, but we were dedicated to finding a way to keep our employees safe while still being there for the organizations that have come to rely on us. Beyond what Meybohm Real Estate does on an annual basis, we made a conscious, collective effort to do more for our neighbors during such an unprecedented time. When the shelter-in-place order went into effect, we partnered with Showpony and their Give A Shirt fundraiser, the proceeds of which went to help local restaurants that were forced to shut down due to COVID 19. We also instituted our first ever Meybohm Gives Back Day and committed to matching the charitable donations of our employees up to $50 per donation. This effort culminated in raising over $8,000, which was dispersed to a variety of charities that our employees and agents generously give their time and donations to regularly.
