September, 2015 STUDENTS DROP-OFF: Students from K5, E1, E2, E3 and E4 must be dropped off at the front door 15 min. before class begins. A teacher will be at the building entrance to assist students to get out of their vehicles. Parents of T2, K3 and K4 students may park their vehicles and walk their child to class. The student is also welcomed to walk independently to his or her classroom. STUDENT PICK UP: Parents of T2—K4 must park their vehicles and pick up their children from their classroom. Do not forget to sign the pick up form every day. Students from K5—E4 will be waiting for their parents at the main entrance lobby and will be escorted by a teacher to their authorized family members vehicle. TRAFFIC: Please keep in mind that the entrance to the school is on WESTSIDE DRIVE and the exit is on UPPER VALLEY RD. Upon entering school grounds. We ask that you drive carefully (10mph) and observe all traffic signs. Please form a single line and wait for your turn when picking up or dropping off your son or daughter. If you are leaving your vehicle or parking, please pull into a parking space away from the drop-off curb. EXTENDED DAY: Extended day hours are from 7:30A.M.-6:00P.M. Students remaining in Extended Day Care will be returned to their parents inside the school. Parents must pick up & sign out for their child. ($5 for every Extended Day Care hour as needed). CAFETERIA: We offer two options: daily cafeteria ($132/month) or ten meals ($60/month) that you can use as you like. Our menu includes healthy and organic food options, including a new Salad Bar, which can be used by children in K5 and older. Please fill out the meal calendar and specify which meals and dates you prefer. Food from home must be healthy, such as vegetables, fruits, whole wheat breads, lean meats and grains. Junk food, or food with high content of fat, sugar, or salt (such as potato chips, candy bars, and sugary drinks) are not allowed. Food must be send in home containers in order to avoid making trash. Please label water bottles or containers from home with your child’s name. Please do not send food for sharing during lunchtime with other children. Please pack lunches that do not require heating or refrigeration. TIENDITA: “Tiendita” is every Friday. Students may purchase bottled water or snacks. Prices are $1.00 per item. Please be sure to send your child with their money in an envelope or small wallet with their name on it. Students are responsible for their own money.


September, 2015 CLUB HOUSE: The student may chose to enroll in Piano, Soccer or Painting. The prices for each student’s registration are as follows: Piano for $40/month, Soccer for $60/month, and Painting for $65/month. HOMEWORK: We are excited to begin Iberos’ Homework Go Center. At the Go Center, K5—E4 students will receive assistance and guidance with their daily homework. The center will be open Monday through Thursday from 3:30P.M. to 4:30P.M. Please enroll your child at the front desk today! ONLINE INFORMATION: You can follow us on Facebook via a friend request to our private group “Ibero Academy Families,” where we will share photos from our events. School information, homework announcements, and inclement weather updates can be found on our web page at www.iberoacademy.com. Parents can read Ibero Academy’s Parent’s Manual by logging onto our Parent’s Login, username: iberoparents—password: academy. SECURITY: In order to control the persons that are allowed to enter the school grounds, Ibero Academy is equipped with a Smart Card Reader at the main entrance. Every parent or family member that needs to have access to the building is required to have a Smart Card. Please buy as many as you need for $15.00 each at the front desk. The school building is locked at all times. BIRTHDAYS: Parents who wish to celebrate their child’s birthday at school may bring in a healthy, treat, such as small to medium whole-grain muffins or cupcakes with NO frosting. Food high in fat, sugar, or salt content is not allowed. Please do not bring any drinks. The celebration will take place during recess. Party decorations and gifts, such as flowers, balloons, or favors, are not permitted at school. Please let your child’s teacher know at least three days in advance. If you wish to send invitations for a party outside of school, we ask that you invite all of your child’s classmates. BELONGINGS: Please label with a permanent marker all student´s belongings. Uniforms, shoes, backpacks, lunch boxes, text books, school supplies, ties, hair accessories, etc.
