INTRODUCTION Land price in Yogyakarta is increasing year by year. After Bali and Jakarta, land price in Yogyakarta is the third most expensive in Indonesia. Average land price in Sleman and Yogyakarta is 5 Million Rupiah (376.8 USD) and increasing 3% every month. This increase of land price affects property selling price. House has become an unaffordable needs compared to the Regional Minimum Wage in Yogyakarta, which is around 1.5 Million Rupiah (113 USD). This phenomenon makes Fresh graduates and young couples having difficulty on having their own house. They are forced to stay in boarding rooms, rented houses, or installment houses with high interest.Tiny House is a compact house that is suitable for young couples, fresh graduates with regional minimum wage, refugees, or they who want to start anew with a low budget. Tiny House requires only 20 square meters of land, which can be obtained by purchase or rental system. These designs provide a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and a space to start a small home business. With Regional Minimum Wage owner can get the ownership of Tiny House with an equivalent price of renting someone else’s house. The design uses simple materials and construction, so it is easily built everywhere. The modular parts of tiny house can be moved or expanded by owner as needed. Without any Down Payment and minimum budget, we can build our own house or shelters to help everyone in need. This Tiny House series of books contains two stories house designs in 20 square meters area. Book One and Two offer various designs from 23 architects. Book Three and Four present alternative designs from selected design from previous books. And the final book is a Manual to build your own Tiny House.

By using bamboo as structure and apply frames of bamboos as the walls, it is easier to build the house because it just needs fewer tools. Bamboo is also strong to keep the house stable without other materials for the structure. Overall, this house is suitable enough to open a small bread shop for a new bussiness.

SUPERVISOR NOTES Bamboo construction needs to be more strong on roof structure because it has to support 4 m long galvalume.

Wulung bamboo material as construction is more expensive and have certain endurance limits.

Bamboo construction needs expert, not everyone can treat the bamboos to achieve maximum durability and strength.

SUPERVISOR NOTES Roof structure are changed from laths to purlins due to laths lack of strength to bear the roof.

Toilet floor level is lowered to prevent water to enter the shop, and the toilet level is heightened.

City water supply source is moved from outside the site to inside, because placing water source outside the site is not allowed.

This house’s main material is bamboo. With the use of bamboo as the material makes this house more affordable to build, because the price is cheap. It has openings under the floor and roof so it is not humid which makes the bamboo becomes more durable. This house can also be used as a grocery store on first floor.

SUPERVISOR NOTES Due to the use of bamboo materials this house requires special skills to build. Especially in the interlocking part of bamboo, it needs a skilled craftsman and not all people can.

The vertical section of bamboo is used as a lath for roof covering. If a bamboo intact is used as a lath, it is feared to give too large load on the construction.

This tiny house has limited space but with interior design maximized the space for living, bedroom in upstairs and business space in the first floor. There is a big window in the front, it can be used to make a little business space, for example in this house, we use the space for cake and bread shop.

SUPERVISOR NOTES Everything is installed by nut and bold and we can overhaul the house easily.

Have a strong roof with structure from light weight steel C 75 with bracing for the second floor. Strong enough to support walls from timer, GRC board, or bamboo. You can change the materials, it depends on your budget except the structure it’s a must with light weight steel. Have a big space for business in the front.

It is a house design c omposed of 70% bamboo materials and applied lightweight steel a s the main structure and bamboo for wall cover, it’s used is bamboo chop. The first floor serves as a small business venue, which sells a variety of household necessities on a small scale. Such as soap, sugar, rice, oil, etc. The second floor is used as a sleeping space that is fit for two people.

SUPERVISOR NOTES The house have a problem with heat, the house is make from light weight steel C75 and zincalum so the temperature would be too hot or uncomfortable.

The problem with drainage is when rainy the house have a problem with drainage because the water will enter the house.

Too much light weight steel for small roof construction. The roof uses too much bracing for a tiny house.

More affdorable because the price of the house is under 10 million rupiah. This alternative design uses Damar wood as wall-covering and Lightweight steel as structure. The size of the site is 4 meters x 5 meters and the building area is 3 meters x 4 meters. This house have a space to open bakery to increase revenue of them.

This house is make 50% by wood and 50% by lightsteel as main structure. This tiny house is strongger cause the main material is pulled down by the all construction fro the top. Wall and Roof is use wood as the structure. Semi fixed structure for the roof and deployable structure for the wall and the main structure.

SUPERVISOR NOTES Wood as materials is affordable cheap cost for this house. Make this house easy to aply and deployable for the main structure. But, because the semifixed for roof structure, it may be hardest when unplugin the construction. lightweight stel for the main structure its easier for unplugin. The advantages of this design is a roof tilts forward and backward, Then with many openings for air circulation. Then with a non-permanent bamboo ladder so that the ladder does not disturb the movement. And the last is a water gutter that has been integrated with the roof so that the flow of rain water can be streamed in the proper place.

SUPERVISOR NOTES This building can be built within five to seven days with the work done by two artisans.

Every element on this building is connected by nailing, drilling and using bolts.

The disadvantage of the design is the costs incurred more expensive than the previous design because it useing more lightweight steel material for the main frame in the part.

The deficiency in the design is the roof exceeds the land boundary. Because the building is made of 20m2 which means the same as the land area that means no land is left.
