“Since 2008, when the recession began, Western art and artists have still set many world-record prices at public auctions and private sales. Pieces like the great Remingtons and Russells never lost their value; they’re timeless,” said Balestrieri. “And we’re in an exciting time for Southwestern and Western artwork. While we have our historic staples, there are many young artists who are creating the new age of Western modernism, a vision of what the West will look like in the future. AGE of DRONES Utilizing Aerial Video
Advice for
THE DRONE INDUSTRY IS EXPLODING at warp speed and with it ever-growing
opportunities to market ranches with aerial video. The Federal Aviation Administration estimates that combined sales of hobbyist and commercial drones could reach 2.5 million aircraft this year, up from mere thousands in 2012. A Google search for "drone videos" on YouTube will turn up more than 216,000 possibilities, with ranch-specific drone videos tallying over 4,000 entries. And it's no wonder. Video shot with a drone in the hands of an expert combines the best of all worlds: sweeping vistas once possible only with a helicopter; thrilling 3-D motion up and down canyons; around and over running wildlife; in and through natural formations; and remarkable close-ups with a true bird's eye view. Imagine the best flying dream you ever had. That is drone video done right.
Look for Section 333 Exemption, Pilot's Registration and Insurance
,
The FAA requires commercial drone operators to obtain a grant of exemption from Section 333 of the FAA Modernization and Reform Act of 2012, which governs aircraft flight in the national airspace. A Section 333 Exemption allows drone operators to fly the aircraft legally under certain conditions and restrictions. The exemption also requires the drone operators to meet rigorous standards and follow specific procedures and rules; without it, they risk steep fines.
"We knew we had a very unique and diverse ranch with features that you just couldn't capture with

In the past five years this iconic and authentic ranch has been restored to its historic high perch as one of the West’s reputable cattle operations with the strategic and sensible investment of $19,000,000 in superb cattlehandling facilities, stock water distribution, fencing and comfortable employee housing. A new well-designed owner’s lodge overlooks housands of acres of irrigated pasture. While the Ranch presents a profitable economic opportunity, it also affords trophyquality hunting with 16 tags from a herd of 2,000 elk. Abundant mule deer and antelope populations plus wing-shooting for chukars, geese and ducks round out an enjoyable fare. Perhaps the most surprising amenity is a private 200-acre reservoir straddling highvolume cool-water springs which provides superb still-water fly-fishing for enormous browns, rainbows and tigers from float tubes and pontoons. With all of this, an intelligent, forwardthinking and vigorous general manager — who has implemented the recent and remarkable renaissance — is in place and committed to the Ranch’s future. He has carefully assembled a stable roster of genuine young cattlemen who carefully move cattle across the Winecup Gamble Ranch’s vast expanse.
