MILLER LAKE RANCH ANACONDA, DEER LODGE COUNTY, MONTANA
Miller Lake Ranch represents a unique opportunity to effectively own your own national park. This 10,000Âą acre alpine ranch includes the tops of two 10,000-foot-tall granite peaks and miles of the Continental Divide. Rock ridges loom 1,500 feet above the timber, lakes and creek of this deadend mountain valley. Privacy is here in the extreme. Wolves, bears, elk, deer, sheep and moose all summer here. Cutthroat trout fill the creek and lake. Winter is deep in snow and pristine. Yet, for all its seclusion, the Miller Lake Ranch is located surprisingly close to airports, interstate, towns, hospitals and supplies. | $22,000,000

ENFORCEMENT, EDUCATION AND EVOLUTION: THE FIGHT AGAINST POACHING Years ago, in South Texas, the deer had a curious habit of disappearing. Known for large numbers of trophy bucks, the area was no stranger to animals finding their way into a group of native predators, perishing of age or possibly even extreme weather conditions, but in every case, one would find the telltale signs of a mountain lion’s feast or a buck that reached the end of its natural lifespan. But this time, bucks carefully bred and tagged simply no longer existed.

Back in the states, some of the IWC’s most notable projects include youth outreach and education. IWC now has two large trailers, courtesy of the Cabela’s Outdoor Fund grant (one in Ohio and one in Nevada) that serve as traveling educational exhibits on the negative effects of poaching. Adding to their desire to educate the public, the IWC has partnered with the Dallas-based Outdoor Tomorrow Foundation (OTF) to create personalized youth-education programs across North America. The OTF is focused on introducing and teaching various aspects of outdoor recreational activities, such as camping, fishing, hunting and natural resource conservation. Above all, the soul of educating the youth of today is sustainability of our wildlife resources. “You never know what’s going to influence you at that age. I still remember the day as a kid when I was out fishing with my family and met my first game warden. It was the moment I chose my career and I’ve been dedicated ever since,” said Rather. It is that dedication for those involved with the IWC that drives them in the fight against poaching. It was once said at a meeting, “If we continue to market our limits, it will be our limits that define us.” As long as the fight is ongoing, the drive to educate, enforce and expand will continue — without limit. Limits Begin Where Vision Ends – The Way Forward!

SMITHS FORK RIVER RANCH
Robertson, Uinta County, WYOMING / $1,950,000 / 260 Acres
T his beautiful, personal-sized 260-acre ranch straddles the sparkling trout-rich Smiths Fork of the Green River for about a mile – a wonderful, totally private walk-and-wade stretch of water flowing from the North Slope of the High Uinta Mountain Range. Mule deer, moose, antelope and elk are seen frequently. This jewel was carefully developed by an avid fly-fisherman who also enjoyed riding favorite saddle horses under Southwestern Wyoming’s beautiful and personal-income tax-free skies only 135 miles – just two hours – from his law office in Salt Lake City. The ranch is graced by a tastefully-designed single-story 2,700 SF log home containing high-quality components which was built in 1996. A separate 1,200 SF garage is located out-of-sight from the home. The compound is conveniently serviced by underground electrical power and a well-maintained county road. About 140 acres with strong water rights are flood-irrigated to raise hay and pasture cattle. The remaining 120 acres contain the beautiful riparian area on both sides of the Smiths Fork. Seldom does such a desirable holding come to market in this historic pioneer trail locale. We have not seen a finer family legacy or corporate retreat offering with private trout water in the past 10 years. The Smiths Fork River Ranch is competitively offered at $1,950,000 cash to settle an estate so don’t ruminate too long to invest in and enjoy land in the Cowboy State!
