We recognize that no program fits everyone so we offer a diversity of services including: • Short-term family counseling • Short-term individual counseling for adults and youth • Short-term marriage and couples counseling • Therapeutic groups • Evaluations and referrals when appropriate Counseling services are currently being offered via telehealth as we continue to navigate the pandemic. eneral Assistance will be providing 10,000 food boxes for Christmas and needs your help! If you would like to volunteer at our food pantry or know someone looking for a service oppurtunity, please contact 708-596-6040. Ext. 3184
assistance to those who are not eligible for any other state or federal assistance. The goal is to provide for basic needs including food, minimal rent/mortgage payments, medical and other expenses essential to the health and well-being of qualifying General Assistance Clients. GA will begin registration for the CEDA Program starting September 7th until May 2022 (or until funds are depleted). Please have the following available for registration.

Notices were mailed from the Cook County Assessor’s Office last year regarding the 2020 Reassessment which will affect your 2nd Installment Property Tax bill payable in 2021. This notice provided you with information, such as, property characteristics, past and proposed assessed value on your property and noted the deadline for the filing of an appeal. Keep in mind that the Cook County Assessor’s Office is now accepting appeals for Thornton Township with a DEADLINE DATE of September 9, 2021. You can also file your appeal online via cookcountyassessor.com or by visiting the Thornton Township Building.

We are also conducting a pre-filing of appeals with the Board of Review, or you may file online via cookcountyboardofreview.com Deadline for the Board of Review has not been determined as of this date. The Cook County Treasurer’s Office is in the process of calculating the 2020 2nd Installment Property Tax Bill, which is scheduled to be mailed to all property owners at the end of August with a payment due date of October 1, 2021.

Zuccarelli Assistance Program “ZAP” SERVICE ZAP Senior Lawn Care runs from May thru October each year. Since 2004 ZAP has hired students from School District 205 & 215 to provide lawn care for a nominal fee to quailified residents.
