MH-QSEAL400/750 Complete turn-key CNC Seal Manufacturing Systems MH- Sealing Solutions offers you the latest technology of CNC machine system, state-of-the-art computer technology and seal production software, and high-performance sealing materials – the complete solution for modern seal production up to 750mm OD. MH- CNC-Lathes are custom-made, fully integrated systems, for the instant production of various seals used in hydraulic and pneumatic applications, and engineering plastic parts. High-end Technology The machines are based on custom-designed lathes for metal machining and become modified and upgraded with all the features necessary for the machining of seals and plastic parts. All machines are equipped with high-end mechanical and electrical/ electronic components. The high-precision guide-ways, disc-turret, bearings, drive systems and control unit are without exception made by worldwide well-known brands who define the standards of modern CNC machining technology.

In order to guarantee the smooth operation of your MH-QSEAL CNC-Lathe our customers will receive training on their machine at site. After technical acceptance the machine will be commissioned and installed on site by one of our representatives.

MH-QSEAL400/750 Machine Components Control & Drive System MH-QSEAL machines are equipped with the latest technology of FANUC, the world-wide leader of control systems for machine tools. The FANUC 0i-TD mate 2-axis control and the βi Servo-Drive System offer a state-of-the-art machine control system of high precision, efficiency and reliability.

Tool System DUPLOMATIC “FAST” servo-motor turret with bi-directional logic. The bi-directional logic in combination with hydraulic clamping/unclamping without lifting mechanism drastically reduces tool positioning times. The turret disc with VDI clamping system for 12 tools guarantees the fast changing of tools.

Tools & Holders The quality of cutting tools is of highest importance in the production of lathe-cut seals. A complete set of high-precision cutting tools made of fine-grain carbide is supplied with every MH machine. In order to cover the complex range of seal profiles existing, most of the tools have a special geometrical shape and are custom made for seal production.

Material Clamping System On the high-precision, steel body 3-jaw machine chuck special sets of jaws are mounted in order to clamp the material billets. These special made “multi-range clamping jaws” are made of high-grade aluminium and are designed to clamp a certain diameter range of semi-finished billets.

MH-QSEAL400/750 good workability of the materials and finally the good surface finish of the products. The cutter is made of high-grade aluminium, using HSS tools to chop the material, the powerful suction unit removes the chips and keeps the tools clean for optimal cutting performance.

Optional Accessories MH supplies an Accu-Finish tool lapping machine with every complete MH-QSEAL system.

This tool lapping technology is highly efficient and guarantees perfect sharpness and tool utilization which assures excellent surface quality of your products. Other accessories like measuring devices, band saw for cutting guide rings etc. can be supplied if required.

MH-QSEAL400/750 MH- “Flex” Software The production software is developed inhouse by manufacturer engineers and underlies continuous upgrades, updates and improvements. Besides the over 150 standard profiles each profile can also be flexible modified by the user without making manual modifications in the NC-program.

The production process of seals is fast and easy: 1. Select your specific seal from one of the profile groups (wipers, rod seals etc.).

2. Key-in the nominal dimensions of the seal as required (any modifications of dimensions can easily be made in the “Flex”-mode).

3. Select the sealing material and billet size from the drop-down list.

4. Suitable cutting-tools will be proposed and an NC-program automatically generated.

5. Transfer the production data to the control unit.

6. Set-up the CNC machine for production and start the machining process.

In this way an endless no. of seal profiles and dimensions can be manufactured, making lathe-cut seal manufacturing technology the most versatile in seal business.
