Welcome to the best kept secret in the Atlanta Metro area! Affectionately known as The Fred, Peachtree City’s 2500 seat amphitheater has been hosting concerts for more than 30 years. Originally known as The McIntosh Amphitheater, the venue has undergone many changes from the rustic wooden benches to the premiere performing arts venue that it is today.

Nancy Price

Following a fire in 1989, the McIntosh Amphitheater was renovated and reopened in 1991 when it was renamed The Frederick Brown Jr. Amphitheater, in honor of one of Peachtree City’s beloved former Mayors. The sweet sounds of music have filled the air for more than thirty years, and we continue to work to expand the programming to present not only topnotch talent, but balance the schedule with family-friendly events like Flicks at The Fred and Twilight Theatre performances. Make sure you check out our complete calendar of events. I hope you have a memorable evening under the stars tonight. Thank you for your continued support of The Frederick Brown Jr. Amphitheater and remember, it’s always Fun at the Fred! APRIL 30

KENNY G / Heart and Soul

In a recording career that spans almost three decades and 23 albums, Grammy Award-winning saxophonist Kenny G has grafted elements of R&B, pop and Latin to a jazz foundation solidifying his reputation as the premiere artist in contemporary jazz. Since the early ‘80s, his combination of unparalleled instrumental chops and indelible melodies has resulted in sales of more than 75 million records worldwide (45 million in the U.S. alone) and more than a dozen climbs to the top of Billboard’s contemporary jazz chart. Given these and other commercial and critical achievements, one might think Kenny is an artist with nothing to prove but he once again reaffirms his enduring place in popular music with the June 29, 2010, release of Heart and Soul on Concord Records. Edwin McCain

Tickets Lawn: $42.50 Reserved Seats: $45-$65 Tickets available at the Fred box office or www.ticketalternative.com

For the guy who always dreamed of a life on the road, Edwin’s massive pop hits “I’ll Be” and “I Could Not Ask For More” were life-changing. “It’s not about chart positions or record sales or anything like that,” insists the man with 11 albums, a wall of platinum and gold albums that have sold in the millions, and reams of Top 10, 20 and 40 hits, “it just has to do with people coming together and sharing a moment, that’s it.”
