My project, Astonishing Avians, is a book aimed for children about twenty one individual birds from all over the world that are either bold, beautiful, or bizarre. Each bird has at least one full page watercolor painting of that bird along with the bird’s common name, scientific name, conservation status, life span, length, wingspan, diet, habitat, and fun facts. I wanted to make this book because I wanted to work on my design and watercolor skills as well as getting to learn more about birds.
