She loves what she does for a living. Tolerance binds her personal and career lives. She believes in treating people with compassion and respect. State Senator Dwight M. Bullard Daylight Saving

St. Patrick’s Day

State Senator Dwight M. Bullard hails from an esteemed South Florida family of educators, community activists, and lawmakers. The Philadelphia transplant was raised in the Miami’s Richmond Heights community and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in History Education from Florida A & M University. From 2000 to 2017, Sen. Bullard served as a teacher at Coral Reef Senior High School. In 2008, he was elected state representative for District 118, a seat held by his mother from 1992 – 2000, and his father from 2000 – 2008. In 2012, Bullard succeeded his mother as the elected State Senator for District 39. Bullard served in the senate until 2016. The political powerhouse now serves as the Political Director of the New Florida Majority and president of the South Dade NAACP.

Jervonte “Tae” Edmonds is the West Palm Beach Police Athletic League executive director and founder and CEO of Suits for Seniors, one of the nation’s fastest-growing youth preparedness program. Edmonds is known for being an outspoken advocate for education and leadership. Edmonds prides himself on serving his community as a public speaker, entrepreneur, educator, author, and philanthropist. He has dedicated his career to improving the rights of minorities, women, the elderly, children, incarcerated individuals, and the homeless population. A native of Titusville, Jervonte earned a degree in Political Science from Florida Atlantic University and resides in West Palm Beach. He authored two books, “Adventures of the Rich and Famous” and “To the Moon and Back.” April showers either make you want to dress up and play in the rain or get cozy and stay in. Joe Ellick, Jr.

Fort Lauderdale-bred media executive and entrepreneur Joe Ellick, Jr. is an Aquarius who resides in Aventura and enjoys catching classic and latest films. Mikael Copeland was born and raised in the County of Miami-Dade but now resides in Weston. Upon meeting him, you might not be able to tell his sign, but he is a strong Leo with plenty of accolades under his belt. His passions are physical activities such as outdoor sports and American football. He competed at a high-level from semi-pro all the way to winning multiple flag football competitions. Richard was born in Brooklyn, New York, to Haitian parents and moved to Miami at age 10. He is one of five siblings that share a strong family bond. The Hallandale Beach-based entrepreneur operates Chef Irie Spice, Inc. and loves creating, preparing, and serving delectable dishes for a broad range of clientele in South Florida and beyond Hugh earned degrees in Culinary from Johnson & Wales University and Design from the University of Florida. He also hosted two seasons of Taste the Islands. Hugh loves the outdoors and seas and values faith, family, friendship, and loyalty. Art Basel in Miami is what you do in December.
