Editor's Note Welcome to the Autumn / Winter edition of Télégramme 2013. This issue is dedicated to the quiet beauty to be found in empty space. Open fields, empty promenades, ghost towns. Anywhere you can imagine you’re the last person in the world, for a little while at least. It’s been a comfort and a joy to immerse myself in these quiet spaces over the past couple of months - a respite from the DIY chaos happening closer to home. Here’s to the emptiness, and always, always, to the sea. Love from

Sarah Special Thanks

Q - for your faith and intuition.

Télégramme speaks to: joe st pierre Joe St Pierre is a 20-year-old photographer from North Attleboro, MA. What do you shoot with? I primarily shoot with a Canon 5D Mark II and 35L. I will sometimes shoot film, but only if I find it fits my ideas best. How long have you been taking photographs? I have been shooting for about 6 years now. I started my freshman year of high school and haven’t been able to put a camera down ever since.

If you couldn’t take photos, what would you do instead? This is a great question and I honestly have never really thought about it (until now). I guess if I wasn’t taking photos I would like to be an art teacher of some sort. Some of the most incredible people I’ve met have been teachers and I would love to inspire people the way they’ve inspired me, influenced me and helped me grow. What is it that you enjoy about photography? What I enjoy about photography is almost indescribable. The feeling it gives me to create something that I am excited and passionate about is like no other. I love the ability it has to bring people together and present opportunities that may not have been given otherwise.

What inspires you the most? Nature & the role people play within it has always been a huge inspiration for me. As of recently though, I have been getting inspiration from magazines like Martha Stewart Living. I know it may sound funny, but the editorial photographs on food stories or interior design really fuel me visually. What motivates you? Overall, my goals and dreams along with my What’s your favourite thing to take photos family and friends as my support system play of? a significant role in my inspiration and daily People are definitely my favourite subjects. motivation.
