CANCELLATIONS: Cancellations are only effective on receipt of written notification: The following per person fees are applicable on this tour: • Up to March 21, 2020, $300 handling fee. • March 22 to March 31 , 2020, deposit is forfeited • April 1 to April 10, 2020, less 50% of tour cost. • After April 10, 202020, no refund is possible. These cancellation fees are also in addition to any imposed by airlines.

By registering for a Classic Escapes service/program, you certify that you do not have any mental, physical, or other condition or disability that would create a hazard for yourself or others.

INSURANCE: It is a condition of booking that the sole responsibility lies with the guest to ensure that they carry the correct comprehensive travel and medical insurance to cover themselves, as well as any dependents/traveling companions for the duration of their trip. This insurance should include cover in respect of, but not limited to, the following eventualities: cancellation or curtailment of the program, emergency evacuation expenses, medical expenses, repatriation expenses, damage/theft/loss of personal baggage, money and goods. Classic Escapes, including their representatives, employees and agents will take no responsibility for any costs, losses incurred or suffered by the guest, or guest’s dependents or traveling companions, with regards to, but not limited to, any of the above-mentioned eventualities. Guests will be charged directly by the relevant service providers for any emergency services they may require, and may find themselves in a position unable to access such services should they not be carrying the relevant insurance cover. After booking, Miami University Alumni Association will send you information regarding the purchase of travel insurance.

RATES: Rates are based on the minimum number of 10 guests, plus airfare costs, currency exchange rates and other factors and are subject to change. Though it is rare for Classic Escapes to make a price adjustment after promotion of an itinerary, we do reserve the right to assess a surcharge if the minimum is not met, or if increases are forced upon us by other partners or because of changes in currency exchange rates.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Neither Classic Escapes (the Company) nor any person or agent acting for, through or on behalf of the Company shall be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever arising from any cause whatsoever and without restricting the generality of the aforegoing shall particularly not be responsible for loss or damage arising from any errors or omissions contained in its brochure or other literature, loss or damage caused by delays, sickness, theft, injury or death. In addition the Company shall have the right at any time at its discretion to cancel any trip or the remainder thereof or make any alteration in route, accommodation, price or other details and, in the event of any trip being rendered impossible, illegal or inadvisable by weather, strike, war, government or interference or any other cause whatsoever, the extra expenses incurred as a result thereof shall be the responsibility of the passenger. The Company may at its discretion and without liability or cost to itself at any time cancel or terminate the guest’s booking and in particular without limiting the generality of the aforegoing it shall be entitled to do so in the event of the illness or the illegal or incompatible behavior of the guest, who shall in such circumstances not be entitled to any refund.

Montreal, Canada Culture & Jazz in the Heart of Québec June 24 to 28, 2020 Explore the culture of Quebec and the singular charm of Montreal on the backdrop of its world-renowned annual jazz festival. Step into the world of the Québécois as you venture to the major points of interest around Montreal, stopping to immerse yourself in the culture, from learning their culinary secrets to taking in their art and history. Your experience will be enhanced by nightly live concerts by some of the biggest names in jazz. By day, visit points of interest ranging from the botanical to the archeological, giving you both a perspective on the history of Quebec and an authentic feel for this utterly unique Canadian province.


YOUR ITINERARY

DAY 2 ~ MONTREAL ~ OLD MONTREAL/POINTEÀ-CALLIÈRE MARRIOTT SPRING SUITE VIEUX MONTREAL. (B,L) Discover the major historical sites in the eastern sector of Old Montréal. Stroll through the charming cobblestone streets and winding alleys of the historic district, revealing its rich heritage. End your morning at the Notre Dame Basilica for a guided tour that will take you into private areas of the Basilica such as the galleries and the baptistery. The exterior and interior of this house of worship are a feast for the eyes, combining classic architectural elements with colorful artwork, including the massive organ installed behind the altar, a selection of detailed wooden sculptures, glittering stained glass windows, and the golden stars set in deep blue that cover the ceiling. Enjoy lunch at the Vieux-Montréal Steakhouse. In the afternoon visit the Pointe-à-Callière, Montreal’s Archaeology and History Complex. This archaeological tour will take you on a historical journey from the 14th Century to present day. Tonight, enjoy your first ticketed concert at Montreal’s 41st Annual Jazz Festival, the world’s largest. Montreal hosts 3,000 musicians and performers from 30 countries for 10 days of jazz centric festivities. DAY 3 ~ MONTREAL ~ MUSEUM OF FINE ARTS/BIODOME & JARDIN BOTANIQUE DE MONTREAL MARRIOTT SPRING SUITE VIEUX MONTREAL. (B) Enjoy the collections and exhibitions of the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. It now numbers over 41,000 works from Antiquity to today, making it unique in Canada. It comprises paintings, sculptures, graphic arts, photographs and decorative art objects displayed in four pavilions. Enjoy lunch on your own before heading out for an afternoon visit to the Biodôme de Montreal, an oasis in the heart of the city, which recreates some of the most beautiful ecosystems of the Americas. Continue to Montreal’s Botanical Gardens (Jardin Botanique de Montreal), where a private guide will take you through one of the world’s most renowned and admired botanical gardens. Its rich collection of more than 22,000 plant

species and cultivars, its ten exhibition greenhouses, tree house, and some 30 thematic gardens make the venue exceptional. Tonight, attend your second ticketed performance.

DAY 5 ~ DEPART MONTREAL After breakfast, you’re free to proceed to the Montreal airport for your flight home.

DAY 4 ~ MONTREAL~ MILE-END DISTRICT/JEANTALON MARKET/MONTREAL’S OLD PORT MARRIOTT SPRING SUITE VIEUX MONTREAL. (B,D) Start your day with a guided tour of Montreal “Public Art and Architecture,” which highlights the French, British, and North American influences. This city tour covers the most prominent buildings and works of public art in Montreal, including some truly eye-popping sculpture in public areas. The tour terminates at the Jean-Talon Market, where you will have ample time to explore the stalls in one of the largest public markets in North America. Located in the heart of Little Italy and opened in May of 1933. This market is known for the many local fruit and vegetable vendors that come together to sell fresh fruits, vegetables, flowers, spices, oils, cheeses, meats, and even artisanal bakery goods. In the afternoon, you will have the chance to navigate through the history of Montreal’s Old Port in an intimate and special boat with electric pollution free propulsion system. Founded in 1642 by Paul Chomedey de Maisonneuve, Montreal’s old port is declared a historic district, where French fur traders once plied their trade and the distinct Montreal Clock tower stands, welcoming six million visitors annually. In the evening, enjoy dinner at Gibby’s and bid farewell to this amazing adventure.

DAY 1 ~ ARRIVE IN MONTREAL, QUÉBEC/ SAVEURS COOKING CLASS MARRIOTT SPRING SUITE VIEUX MONTREAL. (Welcome D) Your adventure begins as you arrive at your hotel in Montreal, the largest city in Québec. Its name is derived from Mount Royal, the triple peaked hill located in the center of the city.
