are historic areas in the heart of Miami, just a few miles southwest of Downtown Miami.

Lush, bayside Coconut Grove has a laid-back, tropical vibe and bohemian charm. It’s Miami’s oldest neighborhood and also one of its most beautiful. Banyan trees, palms and live oaks line quiet residential streets. Parks and green spaces dot the Biscayne Bay shoreline, and peacocks are known to roam wild.

COCONUT GROVE MEETING SPACES

With its beautiful waterfront location on Biscayne Bay, Coconut Grove is home to several parks and historic estates where you can take advantage of Miami’s year-round glorious weather and host a meeting in an outdoor setting.

David Kennedy Park

David Kennedy Park is located in Coconut Grove, right on the water with a view of the open bay. Amenities include an outdoor gym, a running path on an outdoor track, a dog park and beach volleyball courts. There are wooden docks with a view of the bay and a great breeze.

Historic Virginia Key Beach Park

Located across the Rickenbacker Causeway from Coconut Grove, this is an amazing place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the big city. Groups will feel like they’ve entered a tropical lagoon where they can lounge at the beach and traverse nature trails. There are plenty of picnic tables where groups can gather and enjoy the day together.

Peacock Park

This public bayfront park honors Charles and Isabella Peacock, who built Miami’s first hotel, the Bayview House (later called the Peacock Inn), here in 1883. It has a field with open bay views for kickball and softball teams. The park is just a couple of blocks from Coconut Grove’s bars, shops and restaurants.

The Barnacle Historic State Park

Built in 1891 by Coconut Grove pioneer Ralph Munroe, the home and grounds exemplify the spirit of early Coconut Grove. It features a large lawn overlooking Biscayne Bay with a historic house and boathouse. Lighting can be provided. The 1,400-square-foot Micco Pavilion provides a wooden floor for dancing and dining.

Vizcaya Museum and Gardens

Explore a European-inspired oasis nestled in Miami’s urban center. This historic, waterfront Gilded-age estate is a romantic, memorable setting for weddings, events and group tours. It boasts 10 acres of formal gardens and breathtaking views of Biscayne Bay, offering a unique experience for guests.

From beautiful theaters and museums to a century-old country club, an 83-acre garden and even a Venetian-style lagoon, you’ll find a range of meeting venues in Coral Gables where you can host an event with style and Old World glamour.

Actors’ Playhouse at the Miracle Theatre

This historic three-stage performing arts center is available for catered and cocktail receptions, seminars, meetings, screenings and performances. Podiums, microphones and technical support are available. Theater programming can be arranged in conjunction with meeting arrangements. Coral Gables Art Cinema

Coral Gables Museum

This museum focuses on architecture, urban design, sustainable development and preservation, with events, programs and tours. It also offers meeting and event spaces. Capacity: 100

Coral Gables Golf & Country Club

Built in 1922, this iconic landmark developed by Coral Gables founder and visionary George Merrick was the city’s first public building. Located in the heart of Coral Gables, the 40,000-square-foot venue boasts a grand ballroom, a window-enclosed event space with poolside access, a corporate meeting space, and a smaller event space with access to an outdoor garden.

United Church of Christ

Across from The Biltmore Hotel, this historic, intimate and beautiful space with its Community Arts Program (CAP) is distinguished by CAP’s children and youth music education curricula; CAP Summer Concert Series of diverse, best-inclass jazz and classical artists; and other engaging community meetings and events.

Since 1999, GableStage has been at the cutting edge of theater, striving to present the most vital works of international, contemporary playwrights and producing quality theatrical productions that encompass themes and ideas relevant to Miami’s multicultural community.

Lowe Art Museum, University of Miami

Miami’s oldest art museum, the Lowe boasts a comprehensive collection that spans 5,000 years of human creativity on every inhabited continent. The museum’s seven permanent collection galleries are complemented by a robust array of best-in-class temporary exhibitions in a 35,000-square-foot facility. It is perfect for corporate rentals and after-hours events.

Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden

This 83-acre garden features the only outdoor rainforest in the continental U.S., a museum of plant exploration, a vine pergola, lakes and magnificent vistas in a tropical and serene setting. Facilities are available for use as rentals for parties and special events.

Venetian Pool

Built in 1923, this Venetian-style lagoon carved out of coral rock was first opened in 1924 as the Venetian Casino. Designed by artist Denman Fink and architect Phineas Paist, this historic landmark and swimming pool is the perfect setting for outdoor events. The venue features waterfalls, caves, stone bridges, a covered loggia, a poolside pergola and a sandy beach.

Watsco Center, University of Miami

This multi-purpose entertainment facility located on campus hosts concerts, family shows, trade shows, lecture series, sporting events and the University of Miami’s men’s and women’s basketball teams.
