It’s going to be an explosive season you won’t want to miss.

A Legacy of Spirit and Sportsmanship WITH A WINNING TRADITION THAT INCLUDES MORE THAN 66 NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS AND 456 ALL-AMERICANS, THE UNIVERSITY OF MIAMI IS ONE OF THE MOST REVERED ATHLETICS PROGRAMS IN THE COUNTRY. It’s important we stay at the top, and this begins with recruiting a special kind of student-athlete. What’s in their heads and hearts is just as important as how fast, far, or accurately they can throw a ball. Many have worked their whole lives for the opportunity to be a Miami Hurricane. It’s a badge they wear with honor—and one that would be impossible without the Hurricane Club. The mission of the Hurricane Club is to strengthen the University of Miami’s commitment to student-athlete excellence. Through the Hurricane Club, alumni, former student-athletes, and volunteers collectively seek to increase scholarship funding, improve facilities, and provide the operation and maintenance funding essential for all 17 varsity sports. As a member of the Hurricane Club, your charitable gift is tax deductible and affords you several benefits—priority seating, program recognition, members-only events, and other exclusive rewards. The “Benefits at a Glance” chart in this brochure details all updated benefits for 2011. The greatest reward, however, is the direct and immediate impact you make on the lives of our student-athletes. DID YOU KNOW? THE ATHLETIC DEPARTMENT PROVIDES AN EQUIVALENT OF 228 FULL SCHOLARSHIPS PER YEAR AT A COST OF $52,600 EACH. 2011 Goals: • Grow the Hurricane Club membership base to 5,000 donors • Raise $9.4 million for student-athlete scholarship support • NEXT LEVEL campaign – 500 donors to upgrade to the next giving level Reminder: All required seating donations payments are due May 1, 2011
