Além Tejo Passado/Presente
Desde cedo o Homem depara-se com o espaço arquitetónico. No entanto, só posteriormente toma consciência e começa a criar uma ideia definida de arquitetura. Sem exceção foi o que sucedeu comigo. As cidades de Santiago do Cacém e Santo André, onde cresci e vivi, permitiram-me o contacto direto com a arquitetura antiga e moderna. No envolvimento que mantive com estes projetos locais tive a perceção das influências e diferenças de ambas as arquiteturas e como em uníssono conseguem ser harmoniosas, complementando-se no seu todo. As fotografias que escolhi representam os edifícios que tem significado para mim e com os quais me relacionei. A possibilidade que tive em presenciar as fases de elaboração do seu planeamento e acompanhar a sua construção, influenciou ainda mais o fascínio e o gosto que tenho pela área da arquitetura. Since early times, the Man faced the architectural space. However, it was only later that the Man becomes aware and starts to create a defined idea of architecture. It was what happened to me without exception. The cities of Santiago do Cacém and Santo André, where I grew up and lived allowed me the direct contact with the ancient and modern architecture. When I was involved with these local projects I had the perception of the influences and differences of both architectures and how in unison they can be harmonious complementing each other in a whole. The photographs I have chosen represent buildings which have meaning for me and to which I have related the possibility of witnessing the stages of their planning and monitoring their construction influenced even more the fascination and interest that I have in architecture.
