Project Two Concept Store A commercial space mixes an eclectic assortment of products that curated to promote a particular type of culture and advocates a certain lifestyle.
Hin Depot Building, Shophouses, Service Quarter and Mural Garden of Hin Bus Depot are the Concept Store Site.
Location

PROCESS MAKING AND MANY ACTIVITIES
VARIOUS SIZES OF TRIANGLES CREATES VOLUME AND SPACES
STACKING AND JOINING TRIANGLES CREATES DYNAMIC CIRCULATION
Deriving from earlier project - “ Pop-up Furniture ”, I observed there are many triangle roof in Hin Bus Depot, therefore I will continue select triangle as my field of study. Besides, my previous project also has many raw process making activities, so I will carry on it and explore with various sizes of triangles and stacking triangles.

Market
Hanging system is applied in market space. There are one big hanging triangle for event space and the other three for retail purpose selling all the clients’ products. Besides, there are many small triangle platforms surrounded the big triangles. They act as steps to step onto the big triangles as well as kids can play around. Due to adaptive reuse building, the art deco floor pattern is retained. A bright atmosphere can be seen through outside and it is welcoming people to have a glance onto the market.
Staircase
A concrete triangular staircase is the main feature in the concept store. It is surrounded with a central courtyard and side-by-side with gallery and grab-and-go cafe as well as vertical farming. It has two platforms, one is going to cafe first floor and another one is heading to dining area. Sunlight can penetrate into the glass-roofed courtyard.
Grab-and-go Cafe
Grab-and-go cafe is a kind of convenience store cafe, it has different menus in different time period. It has some art deco and local fusion elements in the space. This cafe able to look through pottery workshop and staircase.
Pottery Workshop
There is a centre space for the potter to showcase and easy to teach and look around his students in the pottery workshop. A sharp triangle is portruding to the pick-and-go farm. It enables to dry the pottery.
Pick-and-go Farm
Pick-and-go farm is a community farm. It opens to public to pluck the spices they needed. Besides, diners can pluck the vegetables and send to the counter at first floor for the chef to cook a special meals. Biodynamic farming and vertical farming are applied at here. People at pottery workshop and cafe first floor can look through the farm.
Cafe First Floor
An open triangle courtyard can penetrate sunlight to the plants in cafe first floor. People can enjoy scenery in this cafe. Besides, there is a staircase from pick-and-go farm can reach the cafe first floor or go the counter to send vegetables they have plucked.
Walkway First Floor
This walkway able to see the triangular voids through first floor to ground floor. At the same time, waiter from the cafe first floor will pass by to send the vegetables to the kitchen counter.
Dining Area
There are some triangle voids at the dining area. They are installed with stable nets in order to create some chilling space for the diners. It is also a local fusion atmosphere dining area.
