POP-UP STRUCTURE
PROJECT 1
You will work individually to explore the materiality X texture of the site, which you will propose a ‘material palee’ to reflect the site essence. This ‘material prototype’ will then be applied to a ‘pop-up furniture’ you design, that works as street furniture during creave events held in your site.
You will use the group analysis to assist you during your design decisions making process for the ‘pop-up furniture’, as well as its placement in the site.
You will be looking at lightweight construcon method and embracing impermanence. You will be taking into consideraon the mobility, transformability and adaptability, which allow your ‘pop-up furniture’ to be reposioned inyour ‘Concept Store’ space in the future.
You will draw inspiraon from many arsc outputs to ensure that your design encapsulates the essence of your sitecontext/ cultural & historical background, as well as your arst, whilst providing a quality experience for your visitors.
The ‘pop-up furniture’ should carry aesthec, funconal, social and, importantly synaesthec quality.
