MIB: THE PREMISES MIB School of Management is located in one of the most prestigious historical buildings in Trieste. Palazzo Ferdinandeo was built within the large Parco del Farneto in 1858, in honor of Emperor Ferdinand I von Hapsburg. This historical location, overlooking the park, has had the latest technology installed and has been extended with the addition of a new pavilion that is a model of sustainable building. The beautiful Hapsburg imperial ballroom is now used as a conference hall: it accommodates up to 200 people, has interpreting booths and is considered a gem among the conference halls in the region. The building hosts classrooms (seating for 15 to 60 students), libraries, reading rooms, as well as a computer room, a coee bar, a self-service restaurant, a student lounge and support and service oďŹƒces. The premises can be easily accessed thanks to a good public transport system and next to the School a large parking area is available.

TRIESTE, IN THE HEART OF EUROPE Trieste is a fascinating city that intrigues for its mitteleuropean atmosphere. A city on the border, both historically and culturally, between Western and Eastern Europe, with an unusually cosmopolitan environment and special traditions at the crossroads between the Mediterranean Sea, the Alps and the Balkans. Trieste is a perfect city for both students and researchers from all over the world: every year thousands of them choose it to attend some of the most important scientific centers in Europe and enjoy its historic cafés, antique shops, theatres, bookshops and its wonderful Austro-Hungarian buildings that face the sea. A city that, especially thanks to its geographical position, has been able to develop a dynamic and productive economy. Generali, Allianz, illycaffè, Fincantieri, Wärtsilä, are some of the international players that make the economy of Trieste rich and diverse, a world landmark for insurance, the European capital of the coffee industry and one of the most important scientific centers in Europe.
