Distance makes the heart grow fonder... Right? Well we are still sorry. This issue sat on desktops of the digital and physical nature, for far too long. Take us back baby, we promise we won’t do it again. We made this just for you. Yours, forever and always. Making Stuff

‘Written While Facebook-Stalking You’ When I’m cuddled in with you I feel LikeThat kitten who’s curled up in the huge dog and is giving the camera a look as if to say ‘Yeah, come on, fuck with me, I dare you.’ Or LikeThe microprocessor chip in the motherboard of my cellphone that’s surrounded by the stainless steel casing surrounded by plastic covered in glass with a scratchproof seal and a 60-dollar otter box drop-proof nuke-proof case. (Insanely fragile, But ridiculously protected) Basically You make me feel AWESOME.

18

‘Damn It All’ If I had the words, I would fill libraries With the way the light From the window Catches the glow of your skin Traces the dark shadows of your scars Interrupts the dark pattern of freckles (That play on your chest) Highlights the sinews of your neck Brushes the lines of your jaw Touches your parted, chapped lips And sets a bright luster in your eyes As you turn to me, white-knuckled on The laces of my boots And with eyebrows narrowed, Voice still coarse and furred with sleep, You ask me “What?” As if you can’t tellAs if you can’t feelAnd I, awestruck by you Can only manage a quiet “Nothing.”

This issue is dedicated to

Chase Blanchard FREEDOM of EXPRESSION Written by Chase, 2009:

As he walks down the street, he’s saggin’ his pants he’s bumpin his music, but hes afraid to dance theres people all around him, they like to look and stare so he slightly bobs his head and begins to compare these people, are they having fun? they sure don’t look it dressed up in their suits and ties, just cant stop workin is this how i’d live my life, given the decision? i think not, he says, filled with inhibition id rather be myself, regardless of the opposition these people, these zombies, they all seem coerced so his body starts to move, slowly at first then his mind starts to groove, immersed in the music the beat, the rhythm, the motion, the movement the people start to stare at this strange kid he’s interfering with their holy control grid they cant hear the tunes blasted in the boy’s ears too busy stressin bout the fate of their precious careers and he begins to grin, content in a way at his addition of play to these people’s work day will they think? will they ponder? will they peer out of their box? or will they keep their eyes affixed to their beloved clocks? who cares? he thinks, suddenly understanding the flight that is their life just might end up a crash landing a slap in the face, an awakening, if you will and if they survive, will they just head back to the mill?

30

some people seek fun, others avoid it like the plague somehow, their life definitions have ended up vague some will wake up, and learn from their mistakes others will stay the path regardless of their aches so ask yourself, how do you want to live? think about it real hard and don’t tell it to me, the only one who needs to know is yourself now take those dreams, those goals, those desires and turn them into actions, into a reality; you must understand, no one is going to get in your way. the only thing holding you back is your very own DNA
