POSTER HERO PROCESS
SHOOT PHOTOS
I knew when I approached this project that I wanted to experiment with photography based design. One of the limitations I had was that the project had to be personal. So I set my camera up to snap a photo every couple seconds and load onto my screen and then I proceeded to play around with motion and blur. I found when I moved just right it created a beautiful dot shadow with the texture of the window. I tried to focus my photoshoot to capture as much of this texture as possible.
OTHER OPTIONS
During the brainstorming quick sketching portion of the project I also came across these other approaches and possible styles for the project. I took photo’s of my paper limitations, I layered a blurred image of an abstract self portrait, and I did a couple longexposure shots of a video.
FIRST EDIT
I than selected the photos that I felt had the most potential or found interesting and did some quick edits and combinations to see what results I could come up with.
REVISION
With the feedback I received I chose this photo as being the most powerful image that I had. I tried to think of what message this image was sending and different ways I could incorporate it onto the poster. I settled on the idea of digital identity and the importance of balancing your online digital life with a physical life.
