THE ULTIMATE INSPIRATION BOOK OF
DINING ROOMS & KITCHENS The most powerful tool to boost creativity
COVET HOUSE COLLECTION
INSPIRE YOURSELF A starting point coming from our intellect, emotions or prompt action‌. these are all paths we internally build to create what we call Inspiration. It is a process, a way of living to achieve what we aim for. If there was a path to bring innovation and ideas, what would it be? Anything can inspire us, but with the amount of information we are exposed to nowadays, our mind can simply get overwhelmed. A book by itself can be a unique product, open to multiple interpretations and an inspiration tool to different people in many different ways. But a book can also be a technical tool, simply organised, to help you bring your ideas into life. Covet House has the purpose of inspiring the design community with its new collection of inspirational books. This collection is one of the most powerful tools to boost creativity amongst the interior design community. This collection is composed of a series of different books for each room division. Every book has a deeper exploitation of ideas and a wide range of styles. This book contains hundreds of ideas for Kitchens and Dining Rooms selected by a team of interior designers who searched for projects all over the world. It is a blend of projects from renowned interior designers and a combination of materials from the most luxurious and exquisite brands.
Introducing
DININGROOMS KITCHENS WORLDWIDE SELLECTION Food nurtures the mind, body and soul. The Kitchen is by many considered to be the heart of the home, a place of bonding experiences. The dining room serves the continuation of this experience. Although different cultures have different ways of interacting with these spaces, generally the kitchen and the dining room should be designed to be welcoming and conducive for people to come together. These are rooms in which you can make a real statement, whether about your cooking skills or your personal tastes.

The interior design of a dining room or a kitchen has to be capable of combining practicality with aesthetics. However, we can emphasize the practicality part in the kitchen and the aesthetics in the dining room. Take into consideration your decor, your lifestyle and how frequently you will use the space when you’re planning a layout. The harmonious synthesis between innovation and tradition meets here in an exclusive and sophisticated gathering of the classic and modern design in dark tones.

Inspired by the modern classic color palette, this project is filled with browns, beiges, blacks, whites and greys. It is a minimalist ambience, with techniques that add complexity and diversity to space featuring the minimum amount of materials being used, iconic furniture items and quiet colors. A project Inspired by the Interior of the space, the concept was underpinned by the architecture of the room itself. This room is part of combination of iconic styles without being predictable and always remaining very raw and minimalistic.

Notice how the bright colour and clear table allow visual airiness. Traditional dining rooms can be generously proportioned whereas smaller-scale furnishings in modern designs will suit contemporary tastes well. Open plans are still trending, and many, whether urban or suburban, integrate dining spaces into contiguous living and kitchen areas. Be generous with circulation clearances in open plan interiors while balancing formality using artwork and its position within a kitchen area. In this example, notice how the bright colour and the clear table allow visual airiness while the rug brings colour, texture, warmth and style to the dining room.

Use marble to give a classic touch to your dining room dĂŠcor while still staying modern. A decorative lighting piece really sets the tone of the entire dining room, as you can understand, and so it has a greater aesthetic importance than in the kitchen, where in contrast, you will need more practical and brighter lighting. You can also use marble to give a classic touch to your dining room dĂŠcor while still staying modern. It is great for table tops with its qualities and texture.

Whether it’s once a year or every night, we want our family and friends to be happy in the dining room with more than just our excellent food and company. Fully upholstered dining chairs look incredibly comfortable. Gently moulded seats and rounded backs for lumbar support ensure guests will enjoy their stay. Don’t forget to work the walls around the dining table as well. Cabinets, consoles, mirrors, artworks, benches, shelves… all can be very useful additions to a space while, at the same time, make it feel more welcoming and proportionate.

Wood, with its warmth and texture, is an ideal material for any dining room, in which you want to feel welcomed. In this case, we can also see how the material with its different shades play an important role in layering this space and giving it contrasts. Chairs can usually be mixed in with bolder and more vibrant colours. The choice of fabric here is a very crucial aspect that can make or break the visual experience.
This design works so well because it seamlessly blends a modern, contemporary finish with the traditional custom details to create an exquisite style bridging past and present. The kitchen and dining room spaces make this house workable as a family residence.

The function, what a nice form! Achille Castiglioni
For Greg Natale, the formal living room is the real hero of Melbourne House. On one hand, it encapsulates the spirit of the entire project and, on the other, it plays host to some of Greg’s favourite pieces in the house: Salvador Dali Bracelli Lamp from BD Barcelona. It’s paired with some stunning, timeless Fritz Hansen’s selections like the swan and the egg chairs. The arrangement may not be as traditional as expected in this environment but it suits so effortlessly in the space and truly redefines ‘classical elegance’ with the use of twentieth and twenty-first-century design pieces.

Olesia Sitnikova and Ekaterina Tulupova from Arch.Predmet Interior Design Studio completed the project of a country house with the area of 1,000+ sq.m, in which they combined contemporary design and natural materials. When the designers first visited the house, they saw empty space without any partitions. The layout of these luxury interiors was developed according to the client’s requirements. On the ground floor, they decided to locate a spacious loft, lounge zone, study, contemporary dining room, with two informal but modern living rooms and a small kitchen being enclosed. Interior concept was underpinned by architecture.

The Mid-century style is inspired by the most iconic pieces designed by known names like Ray Eames, Arne Jacobsen and Harry Bertoia. This style is a modern reflection of the Bauhaus movement, using simple shapes and mixing artistic lines with the functionality of the product. The Mid-century style uses elements of the industrial production and materials like glass, metal, concrete and wood. Nature is also a very important element in this style. Every space is fluid and has a harmonious integration between Nature and the industrial elements and materials.

Hollywood Regency is a design that describes both interior design and landscape architecture, the combination of multiple styles, ideas and that smouldering Glamour’s Hollywood style. The word Glamour was originally referred to a magic spell, to cast and illusion, but in modern usage, glamour, or the “Golden Age”, is considered a personal style. The use of the surroundings through the composition, the play of light by creating mysterious shadows. It’s best known for the bold use of colour and contrasts often with metallic and glass accents meant to signify both opulence and comfort. It is a style meant to be extravagantly unbalanced, yet sleek and modern, with blocks of contrasting colour, from dark near-blue to bright pale seafoam. These characteristics are highly favoured, sometimes in orderly but asymmetric repetition or in different textures of soft furnishings in the same high-ceilinged, large-windowed room.
