You can’t control how music effects you. If you listen to a sad, depressing song, in just a few seconds, your mood will replicate that song. In an environment when you need a little something to boost your mood, an upbeat song will do the trick. Need something to relax? Try a laid back song with a slow beat. Nothing can get you in the right mood faster than music.

Exercising with Music: Motivation or Distraction? Ever try exercising in silence? It’s shown that music provides motivation when people exercise. This is why you see people running on sidewalks with headphones. Music is said to shut you off from the outside world and make you concentrate more on your exercise than anything else. Music is known to be better for exercising than anything else because it relaxed the mind more. When you have a relaxed mind, you are not thinking about the pain or discomfort that you endure while working out. If one was not listening to music, they would be more focused on the pain than anything else, therefore they would want to quit earlier.
However, not all music is right for what you are doing. A slow pace song may not help if you are running. And a fast pace song will be just as bad if you are lifting a heavy object that does not require speed. In the end, it really just depends on what music you have an interest in. There is a harmful side to listening to music while working out. Music should not be played so loudly so that you forget completely what you are doing and end up working yourself too hard. To avoid this, keep your music at a reasonable level so that you enjoy the music as it motivates you but not so much as it takes you away completely.
Running while listening to music can make a difference while you run. Most find it more enjoyable to run with music than without.
Studies show that when a person is attracted to a song, they will be in a better mood, therefore work harder.
The Other Side of Music We know that everyone likes listening to a good song every once in a while. What about behind the music? The actual instruments producing the sounds that you take in. Is playing an instrument just as important as listening to one? It is said that “By becoming a musician you are opening the door to your own understanding and greater enjoyment of something that touches all our lives every day.” By becoming a musician, you have acquired a
skill that everyone can enjoy and be proud of. I can think of nothing happier in the music world than learning how to master a new instrument. Successfully playing a song is a great achievement. People should get involved with instruments and music because it’s a great goal. And more importantly, music will stay with you the rest of your life. It is all around you so why not get involved with it.
“Music is the healing force and means so much to so many people; I would feel sorry for someone who has not had the pleasure of truly enjoying music.”

Better Mood It is true that if you ever need a quick way to boost your mood, you can always turn to music. Music is said to be a natural way to lift your mood up. Listening to music is the quickest and easiest way to make you in a better, healthier mood. Music always seems to bring positive emotions. A study was held in Sweden with 32 college students. This tested students’ mood when they were listening to music compared to those who were not. Students who were listening to music have experienced moods such as nostalgia, happiness and elation. Those who did not listen to music had moods such as anger, anxiety and
boredom. People often turn to their favorite song for comfort when they are feeling sad. I agree that often times, we need a break from the world and just focus on that one song. It’s good for you because your mind and body isn’t controlled by all the stress around you. I like to think of music as an escape. Anyone is free to listen to what they want when they want. The great thing about music is no matter what, it can make you healthier by putting you in a better mood. DJ holding up a sign that says “Boost Your Mood. He was actually able to get many people to boost their moods.
Why is Music Powerful? How does one little song effect how you move? How does it effect how you sleep or exercise or breath? What makes music so powerful? If you think about it, a song can literally change how you do a simple thing. I think music is powerful because it captures your mind. It doesn’t mention about that test you have to study for or that paper you have to write. Instead, its just an inviting tune that can take you away from the
stressful world. I think music is powerful because each song tells a story that we can all follow along with. Music is so great because there is so much meaning and influence behind one song. No one can argue and say that music is not powerful. There is some influence and meaning in every song. You have to have some sort of feelings for each piece of music you here. Music has the power to life you up and bring you down.
“In music, we keep the one that speaks to us in past experiences retold, in melodies that bring us to a secret place, in rhythms that capture our heartbeat, and dynamics that reflect our passion. “
