Should we Tax fattening foods? One man (Rudy Ruiz) believes that we should begin taxing fattening foods. This would make the more healthy food choices around the same price as the unhealthy ones and thus, the clear and right choice is the more healthy product. This may not work if the customers are so drawn to the unhealthy choice that they choose
flavor over quality. Now the reader must understand that their life does not depend on purchasing apples over your favorite cereal. This means that is you have the choice of eating either a apple, or a snickers bar, take the apple. It may not be as appealing as the snickers but it will help you become a more healthy person.
It is quite simple actually. All that is needed is for someone to eat healthy and exercise on a regular basis and suddenly everyone will become fit and America will no longer be known as the fattest country in the world. One would think that staying healthy would be very easy but it is nowhere near as easy as it sounds. With all the lies that are being fed to us by the food companies it takes an educated eye to see that. It is difficult to decide which is the better product if both seem unhealthy by the name but in most cases, the names are merely businessmen trying to dangle you from your feet to get every last penny to fall out of your pockets and most succeed. America needs to think before they buy and

We Aren't Changing
The pathway we must take to change.
In the last year 31 states have had obesity rates climb. Not a single state has gone down. Some would look at this and say “So what?” but others would say we are dealing with an epidemic. The lives of so many are being ruined by this and no one is doing anything to try and change that. It is so simple so why can America not do everything in their power to stop it? Because we have no self control. All across America people take the product that looks more unhealthy because they think that everything that is healthy is gross and wont taste as good as the microwavable
deep fried Twinkies they are holding in their hands. Now that isn't to say that every once in a while a trip to a fast food restaurant it a bad thing but if that’s the first place that comes to mind when lunch break comes around, it starts to become a problem. Also when the people who have influence in the world begin to eat unhealthily and start to make it seem ok for the people who don't have the same resources as they do, people begin to think they can imitate that behavior and be fine but that is not the way things are at all. If we wish to change the future, we

Media Shaping Our Views
A character from the popular TV show Family Guy named Peter Griffin.
In many popular TV shows these days, there is one or two obese people trying to show us that if we want to be like them, we should get fat. For instance, Peter Griffin from Family Guy is huge, Homer Simpson from The Simpsons is also quite large, and Fat Albert is quite self explanatory. It is outrageous how the media can say that being fat is ok and that nothing will happen if you get that fat and don't take care of
your body. Most of the people in the shows would probably be dead if they had actually been real. The body is the temple of the spirit and most people forget this when they think its ok to do harm to their body that isn't noticeable right away but once it begins to take its toll there is on stopping it. It is an addiction, eating and eating and when people cant stop, they ruin their lives and the media refuses to show that.
must first change the present.

Some Products Lie Some ads for fast food restaurants try to make it seem like their product is healthy and will make you slim fast when it is actually just as unhealthy as all the other foods that are served at that restaurant. In some places the foods that are called “healthy” are actually worse for someone than the big greasy burgers. People look at this and think that just because it says “fat free” or “low cholesterol” people think it’s the greatest thing since sliced bread when in reality, it has just as much fat and/or cholesterol as every other product on the dollar menu.
Some people just don't know what they are eating and others know exactly what they are eating and just don't care. That is a true demonstration of American carelessness and an absolute disrespect for themselves. Now this newsletter is not saying that eating a lot is bad but more than one can eat as much as they want as long as they balance their diet and exercise on a regular basis. As long as the proper steps are taken, anyone can put anything in their body just as long as they know how to counteract it if its bad and how to continue if its good.

Not Eating Enough While obesity is a huge problem in America another large problem is Anorexia. This is the lack of eating to a point where the body has trouble functioning. The amount of deaths regarding obesity opposed to anorexia is not anywhere near close but it is still a large problem. When some people watch the news and see fat people, they want to be famous like them so they want to eat but some become afraid that is what they will become if they ever
take another bite of food and in turn, become nothing but a bunch of bones held together by loose flaps of skin. To overcome obesity some people will even go to lengths of starving themselves to reduce intake which they think will make them thin and pretty. Most people see the beautiful people in Vogue and Allure and think to be like them they mustn't eat but everyone needs food now matter how good their makeup artist is.
