PREFACE Life can be paradise or palace sometimes it can be a river of tears, even though it is like that you as an individual you must stand on your own & fight for your victory. There are strategies and techniques to fight obstacles of life. But know what is meant by the saying that says ‘A CHAMPION IS NOT A CHAMPION BEFORE FIGHTING AGAINST OTHER CHAMPIONS THAT ARE STRONGER THAN HIM/HER’’ When days are dark, there are plans you must draw, between light & dark. In every failure there is always a winner, it happens that we may have failures but not this time. It will not be & it will never be same applies to the careers you know when the first career fails you have a another choice , again you have one last choice and no matter what you have to work extremely hard to achieve that career. I pray for them…for those whom thou hast given me…protect them by the power of thy name that they may be one as we are one…I pray thee not to take them out of the world but to keep them from evil. (John 17:9, 12, 15)

CHAPTER 1 My name is Maliele Michael I am a 17-year-old boy born in 29/03/1993 at pocthefstroom in a small plot called vyfhoek Meaning why I am epileptic, but even though my life is so different some of things I cannot let them happen. I know when I was a baby I was always sick till now am older. Sometimes I think I am in darkness of evil. I will stand with two feet; this war is not a war, when I have God right by my side, even my background it is not that one can wish However, that will not stop me from building a perfect Success in life. I remember when my mom taught me how to pray, and told me stories about Jesus Christ about God. That time is when I understood & started to read more Bible stories. I was about two years old, even my father became a problem as well as my family, actually, they were problems before. When I was four years old, I asked my mom why my dad always likes to give me more money than I asked for Like! I will ask him 20cent for sweet he gives me 10Rand but when I ask for food or clothes' his answer is go to your mom but mom does not work I asked. I was attending crèche at the front street from home next to the shop, for a long time or term then I changed crèche. 6

Because Miss Ndabi was sick, I then attended crèche at Miss Jeminah for long but not longer than at Miss Ndabi. Problems were still there between my mom's family & my dad's family. Also the jealousy from adults was still running through, Especially when my late uncle teaches me one or two things. Because i was so close to him, and I learned a lot from him, like life, philosophy & treating people with respect. I remember when my uncle decided to take me to Fortville in North west province were he was living meaning his home, they did not like it just because why me? Not my cousins, but my mom agrees with him. My granny took me to pocthefstroom in North West. Because my mom was still attending school at that time, I was not healthy child, up until my mom finished school. I was living with white people were my granny worked, and then I came back to Parys. thus life did not change at all it became more difficult for both of us what I love about my mom is she taught me how to handle things in life bad or good because she is my friend from the day I was born till now. I am a strong boy and so loving person, I do not hate people I love people, I hate their bad action towards others. Even though my condition takes me down, I do not lose hope. Like John Cena when he said "you can take me down but I don't back down” even some people turns me into a joke. but I don't want that to change ,my actions or who I am I will fight till I am down underground the soil & out . I keep telling myself I am not epileptic until Jesus tells me 7

so, but when I saw or read the story by luca's mother Benita loff, fund developer of epilepsy South Africa in Western Cape in epinews of 2004 volume 23 November 2. In addition, the articles from axect magazine and jet magazine, when they wrote about epilepsy also noted the famous people like Danny Glover, Elton john, Vusi Mahlasela and David Beckham's son Romeo Beckham he. Jonty Rhodes one of the Cricket players in South Africa, Then I got inspired and motivated also proud of myself, especially when I went to knysna in Western Cape at 19th to 26th of June 2005 National Epilepsy week. I enjoyed myself also; I had many friends from different places of South Africa. Then I realized being in the condition that I am in, it is not the end of the world I can go far as far I want to. Meaning I can be successful no matter I am sick or not, as long I have people like my God, doctor Almud & my mom, people who contributed in my life those who made life easier. Those who brought light into my life, as I lived like David & Joseph in the Holy Bible I was scattered by both families also my cousins because of my future and the world did the same for who I am. I love many people who made me who I am today, those who gave me courage to be a better person in life. I always check my S.W.O.T analysis. Meaning my Strength, Weakness, and Opportunity & Threats in my life before I do or make things in my life. I am passionate about what I do in my life; I like to laugh a lot. 8

When I started working at our community Radio Station, it was on February, I was hooked by my friend thabo McDonald Molakeng .He said to me you are talented so why don't you come with me and work with me I said” I you are joking? He said could I joke about something like this! This is an opportunity, lets go to the station I will talk then you impress them, then I said lets take it man. Then I could not wait any longer I always checked the time, in my mind was "rang the bell" finally it did rang. I was the first to walkout in classroom, I forgot to wait for my friend I remembered him when I almost at the gate of the school. Then I went back to him with high velocity he laughed at me we were supposed to walk together as planned. Then we walked together home and I told my mom she was happy for me by that time I was attending school at Boitlamo Secondary School doing grade 8. I was so nervous when I enter the door of Lentswe Stereo, I was already there then I was introduced to her Ms Mamokebesa Ditlame (KB). She said hello Thabo are you ready he said I never been I am always ready, it was Friday late 16:30 to 17:00.we were in the boardroom she was not aware I was there then they did their thing, meaning she was checking he is ready, by giving him scripts for tomorrow’s topic and other things. Then she said and then! Who are you? Then I said um, um Maliele Michael I have, he is my friend I wanted him to be 9

in the show he is brilliant you will see tomorrow, then she said ok but tomorrow you will be just a guest not presenter from there we will see , then are you ok with that ? I said yeah yeah. That is where it all started

It was in 2004 around Easter time it was Good Fridays also, it was my birthday, when I had epilepsy I had an argument with my mom just because of simple thing soap I did not see it then she found it then she got frustrated then she punished me with a corporal punishment. However, it was not the cause of epilepsy the main cause is my father. He stressed me too much & my background it stressed me also, he was always gone I understand he was working. Whenever he came back I was like a puppy running behind its owner because of the love that I needed from him to be there for me the way my mom was, however that was just a dream that will never happen or come true. Then my mom said to me Danny Boy ,as she like to call me by that name, just be strong one day I will find a decent job & you will be happy also look nice in new clothes like other children. I will buy toys you so that you may have something to play 10

with. That is how I learned to accept that things would not happen the way I wanted. I did went to hospital many times then I was attended by a good caring doctor by the name of Nkosi who referred me to epilepsy south Africa to Mr Garry Westwood & his team that took care of me. Everything went well from that day I followed/proceeded with the treatment and appointments that was offered there, even though my cousins & other family members were teasing me, but that did not bring me down. Thanks to my mom with her mother’s love & support, she went with me to epilepsy sometimes I was ashamed of that. Every time I would say ‘what will people say’’ she was always motivating me to go there. Until I told myself that I know who am I & God knows what happens every details of my life my mom taught me how to pray so I used prayer beside I have a strong faith, she used to pray with me every time. Every week after school I used to go to epilepsy South Africa center, sometimes they would call my mom to remind her. At school I was named ‘’dead Man’’ or Undertaker ( a wrestler from WWE) because they teased me saying ,when I faint or had a seizure my eyes turns like ‘’ the ultimate undertaker’’. Then I had to meet with a social worker the therapy went 11

well, that time things were good & I was getting better. Until the time were my father should get involved, things got messy the letter delivered to my father’s home, infect before that my aunt (my dad’s sister) who works there at the hospital she is a professional nurse. She stole my file and looked in my file to see what doctors are busy with & my progress in general which it is confidential she is not allowed to do that. That day before she knocks off, she called my dad to tell him & gave him an order not to come or respond to the invitation. My dad called my mom & insulted both us the same day.

Preparations for the Trip to Knysna It was in 2005 first week of March then I received a letter from Epilepsy South Africa, then my mom read it I was at school by that time & Miss Maditlakanyane went to school in order to have permission from school. It was during lunchtime when I was her but she did not notice me, I was called by one of the learners at school she told me I have been summoned at principalâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s office I took little time asking myself what is wrong what have I done?

She sounded very scary then I forgot that I saw Miss Maditlakanyane a while ago. By the time, I got in the office everyone smiled at me then I got myself calm. Then they said to me how you are? I responded I am fine! Mr. Montle asked do you know Mrs Maditlakanyane. I said 13

yes sir she is from Epilepsy South Africa, Mr Montle replied she came with good news. Epilepsy chose you to go to knysna in Western Cape Province you will represent the school and South Africa as completely, I was happy and excited to hear that I could not wait longer I just wanted to go home and tell mom. When I came back from school I was not aware that my mom she already know the news, she showed me the letter then I read it I was so excited about that. The preparation for the trip it was good exciting because I only dreamed of swimming in the ocean for the first time, & meet with new friends. It was one week left according to my count down, before school closure to Easter Holidays, My Mom was very happy for me we did not have much but we managed to have new clothes & other things. I was worried that how will I celebrate my birthday without a cake. I received my report that showed me I passed the grade that means it will be double celebration when I get on to Karoo in knysna Western Cape Province .

ADVERNTURE BEGINS 27 April 2012 Freedom Day it is a day to every South Africans because we have this freedom we have today thanks to all freedom fighters. TATA MADIBA, STEVEN BANTU BIKO, WALTER SISULU etc. It was Friday 2012, I did not know what I should do for that day, and then I heard on radio the advert & invitation to celebrate the day at Parys museum. There would be trackers convoy from town to the township, In addition, the whole event was held in town then I told myself ‘’ there is something for to do today’’. So I walk to town as I had no money for taxi, as got there it was nice and exciting day for me I did guide as much I used to do on regular days. 15

Then there was a professor who was there as well, to show case his videos of vredefort dome his name is Professor Graeme Addison. He was looking for IRIS ANDREWS I replied she is not here yet she is probably at township on the convoy then he asked me my name I told him my name is Maliele Michael. Pleased to meet with you sir & you are. I am Graeme Addison from otters’ haunt have you ever heard of a place? No it just 2km away from Parys ok I see to road of pocthefstroom right ‘’ Michael asking again’’ No it is in a dome burg land just on the road to koppies kraal. Is she coming? ’’ Graeme asking ‘’ who I ask Iris oh I don’t know I will ask her daughter she is just sitting outside says Michael came back found out that her daughter she is also not sure. She even called her she could not answer her phone then I told Graeme the news he said it is fine but disappointed. Then I asked him what profession that you do on daily basis he told me that he is professor & science writer but I am not a scientist, we are giving scientific tours & white water river raft in the vaalriver focusing in vredefort dome.

may have it thanks Graeme I need tour guides in my place I train them and employ them after training them do you want to assist me? Oh yes sure I do beside I will gain experience next week is fine. I had a wonderful experience in my life when I was doing my first tourism job a guide assistant at otters haunt , I could not believe that I had a privilege to work hand in hand with professional scientists from Europe, America , France and here in South Africa working in different faculties at university of Pretoria they were Microbiologists ,Genetic Scientists , Botanist , Geologist and Mammal scientist. Exploring Vredefort Dome World Heritage site learning & teaching the geological aspects of the site it was marvelous for me, I have told myself that I cote ‘’ yah ne ! now I am leaving my dream’’ laughing traveling from Parys, Venterskroon, Barrage & etc. Scientific, Historical journeys meeting new faces & places, traveling through Vaal Islands, I remember when I was debating with my cousins about the islands there is an opportunity to travel, explore Vaal River I was happy & excited for that. We traveled from otters haunt starting point took us half a day up until stone edge ending point, as it was part of my research. Because I always wanted to study Vaal ecology long ago. 17

IT CHANGED MY WHOLE LIFE It change my life in a enormous way reading for the first time my mother introduced me to me to reading & learning vocabulary, reading is like a key to my locked room of my brain and perception. I was so happy on clown 9 when my mom told me, that today I am taking you to library because I was very enthusiastic boy. I always wanted & dreamed big so I told myself that I would read until I die to be whomever I want to read for a lifetime. She went with me while I am still at parys she applied for me a library card so that I can borrow & return back books but I did not like the fiction & non-fiction literature until now I am allergic to those kinds of books. The more I read the more I see life in tremendous perspectives, conserving 18

myself from the negativity. Seriously I became a scientist at the age of four and a writer because I can find solutions to any situations more scientifically ones as I am enthusiastic thinker. Outrageously reading is 100% key to success & better life without the knowledge of reading your life is in prestigious dark side of the world. Then I went back to North West Province at Potch still one of my friend introduced me to the computer he said to me there is the computer see what can you do with it so I taught myself the basics by messing up & rectifying those mistakes. Then when I got back home i decided that I would start a reading routine from my pocket money I am going to take R1.00 in order to buy newspaper every day then my future empire of reading got brighter day by day, later when I came back at to Parys permanently I followed that routine all the way. Reading philosophy, science , geography ,autobiographies, & beyond that the more you read the more you become bright , reading routine evacuated the pain I have been through in my life. So be bright, be light and tight take high accuracy of life for example all well-known people they had passion for 19

reading for the rest of their life the former second president of South Africa Mr Thabo Mbeki, Darwin , Bill Clinton , & others. I was privileged to indulged with professionals on my career path & they always advised me to read more & more , So I was able to travel different places in our country but my quest is not yet done.

LIFE SAVER The year was 2012 around April I went to school the day was Wednesday, I was happy & excited for nothing you know that feeling when you woke up feeling on top of the world. I never felt that happy and confident like that before not in a million years! Everything went on at school my classmate usually ask me now Professor ‘’ now why the smile what is going on? I answered ‘’it is just a bright new day that is all nothing’’ Then the school got out but I said to myself there is something peculiar about this day eish let me stop worry this much. 20

I went to Mmabatho School, which is the oldest school at Tumahole where now THABANG SOCIETY uses the premises and other NGOs my newspaper called SPOT ON as well. I used to go for checking everything after school. I went there but I did not take a long time like I used to, on my way back home about 14:30 I was walking as I normally do on daily basis. I saw my friend Daniel Motsapi driving his motorbike as he was about to enter the main road suddenly all I heard was bang!! Then I waited for a minute to recall what had just happened as i was walking at the right side of the road also the were cars passing (traffic) then I waited another minute in order to pass to the other side of the road. After that, I think it was after 2minutes then I was able to go to him, as people who were there were screaming. I finally got there then I took off my blazer gave to other women that I do not know. I did not have plastic gloves or first aid kit luckily he did not bleed 21

externally, also I did not have injuries or cuts for contacting blood with his blood. I applied CPR which I was not supposed to apply because I did not know how bad are the injuries are that is the rule of first aid. Then I checked his pulse, cardiac pulses and his eyes, he was unconscious in a way off I thought he was dead as his times while I was helping him but no one noticed I was praying. I was checking the time now and again while I was doing all that first aid, by that time were waiting for the ambulance I ran out of airtime while I was calling my mom to aid me with bandages and gloves.

She turned me down then I realised that this is my call not anyone, police & people who were there they were shocked by what I did especially young man at my age could do that, as I was the first youth to do that in the whole community of Tumahole. Even the police captain Mrs Mamaboye she could not stop saying I cote ‘’ I never seen such a thing in my life where did you learn that at school? Close cote. 22

I replied no not at school I learned from reading but honestly, it is what I was conceived with that God gave me. Yes I read it from my motherâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s books that she gave me when she taught me how to read , as she noticed that I did not loved or liked folktale stories I loved big books that we all grew up knew the restrictions of the books children have their books adults have their books as well. I was different until now I am from other people, even after his recovery I was there for him to help him psychologically in order to remember what was happening & what did happen at that moment. I would never forget that one moment in my entire lifetime here on earth. Since from that day I took my first aid kit everywhere I go for in case something like that happens even if it can happen differently.

PRIMARY SCHOOL MOMENTS The beginning of my primary school it was like planting the seed in a fertile soil I enjoyed every minute of it from crèche to pre-school. I was just a tree that keeps on bearing fruits because it had people who cared & loved it. Even though my life was difficult, but the thought of not going to school was far away from my mind. Despite my health that it was part of the load adding 24

up on my shoulder, I enjoyed my schooling days even school trips I would not miss any tour sick or not I will attend that tour sick or not. I remember one year I was doing grade3 my class teacher was Mrs P.Xaba it was on February (Valentineâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s Day) Friday, that morning I was walking with my cousin that we grew up like twin brothers. Suddenly the rained strong extremely strong for about half a day, when we reached school premises, I set in my class freezing I could not say anything but when my class teacher said to me go home if you are not well you can stay at home. She even turned on the heater but it did not make any difference I was freezing like before, I said to her No & NO I do not want to go I will stay and learn until the school knock out I refused she even involved the principal. I ended up agreed with them because I could not concentrate, further then I went back home. I did go back to school again I always had this concept in my mind of I will change the situation at home. 25

We will come from ground zero to ground million because I knew that with teachers from grade R to grade 7 that we had at school. I succeeded because of their guidance and lessons that they taught me from succeeding in the Story telling competitions to Soul Buddies group. With friends that I had back then it was great friendship the likes of Thendo Mofokeng, Millicent Lewisa, Mathapelo & others those were the girls. Then the boys the MALACHITE in class in Baseball team, which were coached by Mr A.Sebitlo we even had our small business in our school selling sweets but there were others who were selling also but it was only our class of grade 7 they are Papi Marumo , Moses Mokhethi,Lebohang Mmlangeni & Tieho Martins. But those were not the only ones there were more of them.

THE MOTIVATOR & TEACHER My first year in secondary school must say it was feeling very weird, I mean I was feeling excited and nervous at that moment. The first time I was bullied at school as they say ‘’the initiation’’ to high school, during that moment I felt confused. 27

I asked myself actually, what is going on? It did haunt me silently even though I thought that totally forgot about it. It came in my mind, from primary that I will go further with this initiative of helping people & guiding others. Therefore, I started the movement called BEMS (Boys Empowerment Movement), where I taught & life Coached as well as motivated. I got assistance from life Orientation teacher Mr.Lenka and few grade 12 pupils, because it was my first year in secondary school. I had to get tour, learn the tradition and history of the school, as some of the leaners I knew them from primary school others from outside school. I worked with RCL (Representative Council for Learners) and RADS (Radical Different Species). In that movement I aided, counselled and motivated boys in their different situations also I guided the how to live respectively and normally. 28

The main key was Respect yourselves before respecting others also treat others just the way you wish to be treated positively. Secondly critical thinking treat girls as normal people and respect them as much you want to be treated. My concern or worry was the stereotypical manner of girls had in their mind, which they changed it to the fact. That is saying ‘’Boys/Males are Dogs’’ because the way boys treat girls e.g. Rape, abuse and sexual harassment, also to be better people to the community. However, I am very proud to say this even though when I changed school circumstances, nevertheless in some boys that were members of the movement, their lives changed from what they were before they join the movement. Even when we meet at streets or where ever we meet, I feel proud when I see them succeed remember success come in different ways though. 29

That is way of me being a teacher, motivator & in church, I was, and I am the teacher & motivator of many. However, in Phehellang senior secondary school I did the same thing even though it were crushed many times, when the idea rises from but there were few teachers, who liked what I did at school but they could not helped me because they did not have authority to do so. I was a class representative (class Rap) I used to teach & motivate the whole class. Even in life Orientation when I taught the class Miss Mosue she was there, marking scripts of other class that she taught, she was amazed and impressed. That was not all even at church I remember I was 67years old when I stood up teaching about the bible scripture when we did bible sharing that happening at church in a group called chiro also I taught Art at the same time. I also went (cyc) catholic youth group that is another group for youth by that time just a teenager, I did have talk questioned the priest and altar servers about 30

word of God also the bible scriptures. Then I joined alter serving still I was youngest one among other people then followed others.

ON MY DEATHLY BED

It was on Monday everyone was happy to be back at school after a long summer holidays I was doing grade 4 I was upfront of my cousins in school. 31

They were behind me but that I was not focusing on that I only focused on my work, my mom was very proud of me she couldnâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;t stop saying my son will finish school at the age 18 things started to be fishy now my health started to be problem. However, I kept on moving forward it was epilepsy, asthma, hypotension (low blood) chronic kidney infections chronic headaches & gastric ulcer attacking me at ones. I used to say to my mom I am not feeling well but I am going to school, I must say my school was hospital because I will go to school but end up at hospital. Even though doctors used to say, I am sick they discharged me though I am not in good health. My family would say I am pretending were else I am not, I did not stop paying at all times because during pains many people used to come to me just say keep on praying no matter what happens. We did not know each other they were black , white ,coloured & Indians most of them they were old 32

I am at hospital, I went on struggling in that way sometimes I spend the whole month or months not present at school. My exam scripts most of the times they were vanishing amongst other learner scripts, I had all stationary except texted books, most of the teachers took as joke, and some they used my absences as the opportunities whereby they gave me wrong marks in their defence they will say I was absent where else I was present at school. I kept asking doctors & myself when would I be healthy like other children? So I may go to school normally like others, that was my every day question to everyone I see. Thanks to my mom who risked her life just to see her baby boy in his deathbed of pains she would walk from township to town in other words, she moved from the last position of township until the last position of town at night (Hospital & Home locations). However, my mom kept on praying all the times she came at all times and she came at all pieces also went home safe. 35

Sometimes I would say to her stop putting yourself at risk, if you do not have money for transport, you would come when you had it. She inspired me a lot she kept on lie that until I accepted & understood what is monthly love also, how deep it is. There were times I could not speak I used my art in order to say something but that did make sense to others what is the massage behind that. That is where I got my inspiration from because I had many ideas what should I draw hospital was my art inspirational place. Sometimes I would get asthma/epilepsy attack on my way to school I would wake up at hospital or clinic that is how I lived in pain.

Being only 17years old I proved to be a Scientist, Geologist, Researcher & Historian for me museum has always been an inspiration and place of interest. A place I wanted to visit I only knew South African History also other worlds history I wanted to know what is inside the museum. To my surprise, I discovered a lot about the history of Parys in the museum, and just there and then, I decided that I would give a hand at the museum. I love to work keep busy then I aided Iris Andrews in doing research and being a tour guide of people who visit the museum. I enjoyed every moment of it, it is the most wonderful stories, and I learned more about history of town I taught what a beautiful town Parys is. 37

LIVING WITH PAIN

Living in pain is like living in the land where you always get hurt; every time you think of when you are going to walk out of the miserable life, you do not get the answer for that question. Being in the pain is not enjoyable but pain is like provoking oneâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s life, it so sad and heart breaking seeing someone living there struggling it is kills me. I am the one who is having this kind of problem, but the one thing that kills me is that I am going to different doctors and I get nothing from them. Most of the doctors are telling me things about my heart and other things, again I struggle even if I go or try to do something for me so that in future I will become someone great. So again I climb in the train of pain, there is light but 38

it is not too bright for me I want to reach my goal one day. Life is like driving a car, it is up to you whether you take risk of driving it with no skills of driving or it is how you drive it. Sometimes I was going to different hospitals then I was told there are many problems in you; there is nothing we can do. Until things got worse there is something killing me time is getting shorter for me meaning I am very ambitious boy but it seems like I will not be able to reach the pick of table Mountain, Kilimanjaro & Mount Everest.

It is up to you weather you use them or not as for finance start to budget now and wisely be like an ant, ants store food in summer for winter and they don’t have a leader, same to you start now to save up as little you have right now because that little amount you have can give you more than that little amount. Butterflies starts as a small Caterpillar/moth then changes to a beautiful butterflies also trees starts a small seeds then grow to a plant then after a huge tree that produce palatable fruits so nothing can stop you to start saving. I mean everyone whether you are young or old. Good budgeting makes your life better you won’t have a difficulties when coming to financing problems you can work, it just like solving x in mathematics you budget with a right perspective and most important thing is check first what is important in your children needs if you have one or more kids don’t forget to balance your equation in most cases.

NEW BLOSSOM It was winter month on Friday when it all started i was from Parys museum i was going home, then i met Tim Kalppet he was at the museum around 12h00 - 16h00 They were talking with Iris Andrews after their conversations they came to me. Iris excused herself then we talked two of us he explained to me his idea of a newsletter that he is starting, i was so interested to it we agreed to meet on Monday for the final decisions we exchanged numbers i could not wait for Monday i was so excited to work on that news letter. Then Monday came we got the ball rolling i met with the team, then i decided to go more than a news letter to a newspaper we agreed to the idea of transformation, i was introduced to Mr. & Mrs. Gordon from UK they were helping on editing the language which is English. Weeks went on and on working hard day and nights with The same vision to see the paper published, partnering Thabang Society Danish Peopleâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s Aid and other young people from the community. It was exciting reporting hunting for stories then coming 46

back together compiling articles and construct the whole layout of the paper, meeting the Afrikaans Reporters ANDRE and his photographer listening to their stories It was fun and inspiring he is blind during that time i was very sick but it didn’t stop me from accomplishing the dream of founding the newspaper. The was a time when I was sick I had to let Tim take over the newsletter I couldn’t wait to see the first issue published, by that time I was still at school doing grade 10. But it did not disturb me at all I managed my time very well.

GIVING BACK TO THE COMMUNITY Helping young people it is nice jobs for me because I give back to the community, also saving them from redemption of wrong things. I donâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;t just teach them I also motivate them to be better people in the whole wide world. It gives them the new perspective regarding education I show them how to learn and have fun at the same time. No matter how hard the education system is it is in their best interest whether they are holding to the grip. I teach at the local library after school giving them extra class based on their need on the subjects, I teach MATHEMATICS & SCIENCES also MATH LITERACY. From primary level to secondary level I really enjoyed being with them helping, teaching and motivating nothing disturbing us as long as we respect each other. Believing in them is one of the techniques I use to help them to succeed, through challenges of life it helps them to believe in themselves too knowing that they can do it as well.

Work hard still there is no satisfactions but the world runs by its own ways, so as human heart. ROYAL BLOOD It was on 07/November/2015 it was on Saturday evening and it was father’s birthday, my mom was on the sixth of November. I went to town to buy a cake for my mother but it was a surprise i took my own time in town however i came back home, i found visitors at home they were my relatives from Rustenburg in village called TWEELAGTE in North West province. They were busy talking about the family tree or roots then i greeted them as it was the first time i met with them but one of them it was the second time, the one that i was told to call her granny she said to me when will you come to the the throne? I was amazed which throne! Then they said you will arrange when you will come however we celebrated the belated birthday of my mom up until they went back to Rustenburg, since from that day we were busy arranging the trip. On the 18th of December it was the day I went to Rustenburg it was 07h00 in the morning, I was scared because I don’t know were I am going. 53

I kept on praying and calling Mr. Khethang who was told to call him Ntate (father) to give me directions, until i reach my destination. I was welcomed warmly then came a day i had to sit down and listen to the great grandmother who was the leader of Bakoena clan her name is MMAJOBO ALINAH DIKGANG also known as MAMOKOENA she gave me a clan history. as our family is originated from Lesotho in king Moshoeshoe royalty they are in the first royal house then when comes to me i was born from the second royal house of the Moshoeshoe kingdom , which means as the great grandchild of Moshoeshoe clan i am prince of Bakoena then they proceeded with the family history lessons. Also i was told about the history of my great grandfather the mighty king LEPOQO MOSHOESHOE MOSHOASHOAILANE but i already know it as i read it also told about him at school and how they traveled from Lesotho to South Africa Then on the 25th of December we went to Tlhabane West still on Rustenburg it was gathering of Bakoena clan where i was ordinated my position as king Moshoeshoe leader of Bakoena Clan, i was so shocked and amazed when i had to stand in front of many people like that Basotho Nation is so huge i felt excited and happy knowing who i am now.

HARVESTING FIRST STEPS BEFORE HARVEST When you plant a seed you plant it with expectations. Expecting fruits from the seed, what must you do? In order to get what you expecting You need to work day and night making sure your crops grow. Compromise your time limitations, make environmental analysis then expand. Change your behavior make sure that when you are busy working be aware of seasonal change so that you may not lose your work. Stay focused on what you need most of all time than what you want. Never depend on one thing for ever learn to have backup financially so that when problems rises you know your alright there is no need to panic. MOTIVATION

Butterfly it is born a caterpillar by birth Flies it is born a caterpillar by birth as well. Five (5) common factors about them is their birth. 1. Both are born a caterpillar 2. Both can fly 3. They are pollinators 4. They are fearless 5. they both go in the process of metamorphosis Your birth place does not determine your destiny. Flies is frustrating, irritating people it is ignored at all time, most of all is hated. Butterfly is loved, cared & nourished by people because of the bright colures it displayed. Both insects go through metamorphosis whereby they reconstruct their cells from caterpillar to Butterflies & flies. In life you have to be like both insects no matter how many times you have failed, it doesnâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;t matter how many people told you they get irritated by you & your failures. 58

UNDERSTANDING MY PATH 2016 started painfully but I didnâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;t see through the problems I faced it was a blessing in disguised. I met people some I thought they good people but I was wrong, they wasted my time and tried to make me a fool. But I strongly pushed on to find & understanding my purpose. Then time went on while my life was changing one step at the time, being busy is my PRIORITY it kept me thinking and praying at all times. God kept showing me the light every day where he is leading me other things such as my studies unlocking every door then I ask god what is happening? Midyear came I went to town to LOTSHA ministries I was told about this organization, so then finally got there as I was walking I introduced myself to people I found sitting at the table. 60

They were Talking about God regarding the manual they were looking at which was for Ukuphula Iketanga Breaking chains it is one of their major program they offer. Were welcomed by Mr. Graham Fletcher his wife Pamela Fletcher, Lans his wife & Hans. I was asked many questions they were impressed by my answers and the knowledge I have. We proceeded with the programmes every Sunday late During the week I went there to study, having quality time for God reading bible. Then graham told me about the prison ministry they do firstly I was afraid as it will be my first time go to prison but as a visitor how will I handle or how to greet the offender? We were told the back round of the organization and the prison ministry, but I knew it was God who let me there and he gave me a greater task far beyond my understanding. He said to me nations& islands are waiting for you to give them my good news messages, you will open eyes of the blind, you will bring light to those who are in darkness and those who in prison will go free. It is huge task I ask God then god said to me i will be with 61

Then we went to the prison it was celebrations for the prisoners who completed the program before I was challenged to go and invite the families and loved ones of the offenders, in my mind was how will I show them I am sincere? Then God gave me courage he said to me do not be afraid I am with you. Then everything went well more than I was expected them to be. Saturday came the celebration started they performed sang talked then Graham called for someone to talk or give motivation, then I heard voice saying to me your task begins now go and talk my heart was beating so fast like rock drums then I stood up and went to the pulpit I gave motivation and it was well received after the ceremony miss Fletcher and others came to me and told me that it was very good message I gave. Do I know how powerful those words were?

Monday my task started we went to the prison I went there as a trainee but I knew it was my task which God entrusted me to. Month went on doing the same things getting good feedback and the credit was for God even though people gave me credit. I spend the whole winter period doing my task with Lotsha Some days I preached at the local radio station on Sundays. I was invited in various churches to talk and motivate. The most thing I enjoyed doing was feed people every morning and see them smile. As my number one priority is to put smile on someone face.

I already knew a lot about the organization doing prison ministry every Monday was no longer a problem. Offenders are like you and me just that they did wrong things which led them to prison that is difference which set the line between us. We are helping children, middle aged people and Adults one must always remember that at all times. I attended counseling course then I was taught a lot there things I didn’t know off every Wednesdays every week. The more I got in these programs I understood more about my path.

Then the day came for me to receive my certificate for a qualified Christian counselor it was fantastic feeling for me, because I couldn’t explain how I am feeling at that moment.

I also got certified as a facilitator for prison ministry I was no longer a trainee anymore.
