PERSONAL LEARNING PLAN (PLP) Level: 10 (Stage 1) Length: Semester (10 SACE credits) Contact person: Cass Mewett Content: PLP is a compulsory SACE subject undertaken in Year 10 at Adelaide High School. The subject is run in the Pastoral Care Program as well as our PLP week.
Students will also explore the 7 SACE capabilities which will be revisited in other subjects such as the Research Project.

YOUTH LEADERSHIP Level: 10 (Stage 1) Length: Semester (10 SACE credits) Contact person: Cass Mewett Preferred background/ prerequisite: There are no pre-requisites for this course, however as the course is restricted to 21 students, priority will be given to students wanting to develop their skills in leadership, citizenship, personal development and communication. Content: The course has a strong focus on personal development with leadership, teamwork, communication and organisation as key areas. Projects based on citizenship and community development form the basis of the learning for the year. Students are encouraged to co-design their learning and tasks to meet their individual goals.
Assessment Type 1: Practical Exploration Assessment Type 2: Connections Assessment Type 3: Personal Venture. Special requirements: Students need to commit to 2 camps throughout the year and to learning activities which sometimes occur outside of class times. Additional charges: A subject charge will apply to this subject in addition to the Adelaide High School Materials and Services Charge.
Students will participate in a first aid course and outdoor education lessons including 2 camps. Many of the tasks undertaken are in conjunction with community groups including The Smith Family, Vinnies and Adelaide Metro/DPTI. Assessment: Students are assessed using the SACE Performance Standards. Students demonstrate evidence of their learning through the following assessment types:
