I didn’t realize how technically challenged I was until I started to learn about blogging. All I wanted to do was put my ideas down and have others read them but of course this wasn’t to be the case. This is where my nightmare began. I was told it would be more professional to get my own URL and then have wordpress put on that. I did just that by getting a Go-Daddy account then forwarding that to a Hostgator account. Keep in mind I am technically challenged so none of that went smoothly. Get all that worked out, got my wordpress blog setup and now I can blog.
You have to pick a theme. If you want people to come see your site you need a theme that stands out. So I go pay for a theme and install it on my blog. Now can I blog?
You have to set your security so no one can hack you. I find out how to do this and after I input all the code I test and my blog crashes. Apparently I missed something. So after hours of research and reinstalling I get it all figured out. Also at this time I learned how to FTP into my blog and how to setup the username and the password. This was all so much fun. Now you need the right plugins. I research all the plugins that will help my blog be the best ever. Now have to search on how to set each plugin up. And of course several cost money. Now can I blog?
Blog Settings: General, Writing, Reading, Discussion, Media, Privacy, Permalinks, Theme, Design, Widgets, Menus, Pages, Posts. Once you figure all that out, guess what you can write your blog.
