Michael Dickel

Michael (Dickel) Dekel, Ph.D., (Writer) a poet, photographer and digital artist, edited Voices Israel Volume 36 (2010). His books of poetry include Midwest / Mideast (2012) and The World Behind It, Chaos (2009), which includes his photography and digital art. Dickel is a member of the Israel Association of Writers in English. His photographs and poems have appeared in literary journals, anthologies, art books, and online for twenty-five years, and he has won international awards for his poetry. Dekel directed the Student Writing Center at the University of Minnesota (now the Center for Writing) and the Macalester Academic Excellence Center at Macalester College (St. Paul, MN) and has taught in Israel at The Hebrew University and other institutions of higher learning.
