Coastline, especially in Dadap region, experiences so many problems, one of them is the mining of sea sand. Which causes new problems including coastal abrasion, decreasing quality of the environment on the coast, turbidity of sea water, threatened coral reef ecosystems, and can result in high waves of sea water. Some of this is a destructive form experienced by coastal ecosystems and can threaten the existence of life in it. COASTAL DEFENDER exists as an infrastructure media developed with the liminal line approach on Dadap coastline, aimed at facilitating coastal communities, especially fishermen, whom they are the "right hand" of a coast itself.
